Agreed. Food in Philippines is utter tripe. Worst food in all of South East Asia.
Ironically, the best food I found was in a prison in the Philippines. It was a prison for 'lifers' who worked the fields to grow produce. Subsistence farming supported the prison and the inmates were in good shape (physically).
