It is strange that the US Secret Service would have left such an obvious shooting position unsecured before the event
People claim to have reported to police / secret service that someone was climbing / on top of the building, but that no action was taken, not even to take Trump off the stage, until shots rang out
The 150 metre distance with an AR-15 rifle as reported, would not be difficult for a practiced shooter ... but an amateur without significant shooting experience and under stress, could well shoot badly
