Much easier to say the 'real' Nelson Mandela died in jail (a broken lonely freedom fighter fighting a noble cause).
ReplyDeleteMuch, much easier to hold a belief that could explain a massively uncomfortable truth that the real Mandela was nothing more than an 'idea' and a 'narrative' and maybe just maybe he never spent any time in jail, was a a revolutionist hiding out with his ANC communist pals in Zambia or Mozambique playing a very different game.
It truly beggars belief that a revolutionary figure would (even in a million years) join a club that is full of Africas worst colonizers.
