    1. Maybe HAARP. Possibly just good old fashioned cloud seeding. The comments section of the Daily Mail article had a good number of comments referring to this.

Things like ......When I lived in Dubai the Government were quite open about cloud seeding.

      or

What do you expect when you cloud seed.

You get the idea. At least a bit of acknowledgement that the problem is both known about and manmade. A start at least. They never quite worked out that is where we get our crap 'new' weather from though.

  7. German police shut down Palestine conference

“In perhaps the most serious round of repression against Palestine solidarity organizers, German police on Friday shut down the Palestine Congress in Berlin, arresting several attendees and ordering delegates to leave immediately.

“German officials also prohibited scheduled speaker Ghassan Abu Sitta, Palestinian-British surgeon and the rector of Glasgow University from even entering the country.

“He was to speak about his experiences with Palestinian victims of Israel in Gaza hospitals where he has worked.

“He says … that his testimony could be seen as evidence against Germany in the case Nicaragua has brought against Berlin at the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

“Nicaragua has charged Germany with complicity with Israel’s genocide because of its arms shipments to Tel Aviv.

“The doctor says his treatment by the German authorities amounted to witness intimidation …

“Andrew Feinstein, son of a Holocaust survivor … who is challenging Labour leader Keir Starmer for his Parliamentary seat … told a conference on Gaza in Blackburn, England on Saturday, that he was supposed to be speaking on a panel with Dr. Ghassan.

“‘Germany is the last country on the planet that should be displaying such fascist behavior’, Feinstein said …

“Red Media … [reported] that, ‘900 police [were] deployed to the congress, whose start they held up for hours. They … denied entry to most of the registered delegates’ …

“[According] to researcher Emily Dische-Becker, almost a third of those deplatformed, arrested, or otherwise sanctioned for alleged antisemitism are themselves Jewish …

“German authorities have staged several crackdowns on the Palestine solidarity movement since Oct. 7 …

“‘We Jews are just getting arrested, the Palestinians are being beaten’, German-Israeli activist Iris Hefets [said] …

“Former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis, who was inside the venue, was prevented from speaking ‘because German police burst into our Berlin venue to disband our Palestine Congress (1930s style)’, he wrote on X …”

  8. RT HON LIZ TRUSS MP: ‘We need a plan to dismantle the Deep State’

“The West is … being undermined from within by the promotion of [certain] ideologies, eco-extremism and wokeism …

“Across the West … there has been a shift of power … to unelected bureaucrats and technocrats …

“The opaque British bureaucratic state undermined my proposed reforms, and their American equivalents will have Mr Trump in their sights if he is victorious in November …

“… [Winning] an election isn’t enough.

“The winner needs a concerted plan to dismantle the deep state …

“When I entered Downing Street in September 2022 … [the] UK had left the European Union … but reams of burdensome laws remained on the British statute book …

“Too many conservatives went along with the establishment’s push for Net Zero and high immigration …

“Unelected bureaucrats caused … market turmoil, but elected representatives were blamed … [Chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng and I] had to ditch our program or risk a market meltdown …

“There should be an independent investigation into what happened, but the establishment would never allow it …

“This isn’t a fight only to return to fiscal responsibility, but also to return power to the people’s elected representatives …”

Ms Truss served as Britain’s prime minister in 2022.

  9. Nicaragua takes Germany to the ICJ for facilitating genocide

Germany is second only to the US as the largest supplier of weapons to Israel

“As Israel’s genocidal campaign against the Palestinians in Gaza — which has killed more than 33,000 Gazans — enters its seventh month, Nicaragua sued Germany in the International Court of Justice (ICJ, or World Court) for facilitating genocide.

“Nicaragua [charges] that, ‘Germany has provided political, financial and military support to Israel fully aware … that the military equipment would be used in the commission of great breaches of international law’ …

“‘The military equipment provided by Germany enabling Israel to perpetrate genocidal acts and other atrocities …’

“Germany is the second-largest arms supplier to Israel, accounting for 30 percent of imports between 2019 and 2023.

“The United States, Israel’s chief enabler, provided it with 69 percent of its arms imports during the same period …

“… [On] April 8 and 9, Nicaragua presented its case to the ICJ and Germany denied the charges …

“Although the United States is by far the largest provider of weapons to Israel, it hasn’t been sued in the ICJ because it won’t accept the court’s jurisdiction …

“‘The ICJ is not going to end the war in Gaza, but it is a diplomatic tool …’ Brian Finucane, senior adviser at the International Crisis Group, [said] …

“The ICJ will issue a ruling on Nicaragua’s request for provisional measures in Nicaragua v Germany in the next few weeks.”

  11. ‘Today’s young will be forced to live in high rise apartments, pay-packet to pay-packet’

Australian entrepreneur Dick Smith “fears today's young people will have no savings and be forced to live in Chinese-style high rise apartments …

“‘Basically, we're doomed; we're going to increase our population to staggering numbers’, he [said].

“‘Jammed into high-rises like China, many very poor and who just live pay packet to pay packet and have no savings at all …

“'The beautiful houses with a block of land for the kids to play in … that will go forever …

“‘Every house will be knocked down and replaced with high rises …’”

  12. NEW YORK TIMES Gaza memo leak: ‘Banish the words ‘genocide’, ‘ethnic cleansing’ and ‘occupied territory’

“The New York Times instructed journalists covering Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip to restrict the use of the terms ‘genocide’ and ‘ethnic cleansing’ and to ‘avoid’ using the phrase ‘occupied territory’ … according to a copy of an internal memo obtained by The Intercept.

“The memo also instructs reporters not to use the word Palestine ‘except in very rare cases’ and to steer clear of the term ‘refugee camps’ …

“[These] areas are recognized by the United Nations as refugee camps and house hundreds of thousands of registered refugees.

“The memo [is] written by Times standards editor Susan Wessling, international editor Philip Pan, and their deputies …

“… [Several] Times staffers told The Intercept that some of its contents show evidence of the paper’s deference to Israeli narratives …

“In January, The Intercept published an analysis of New York Times, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times coverage of the war from October 7 through November 24 …

“… [The] major newspapers reserved terms like ‘slaughter’, ‘massacre’, and ‘horrific’ almost exclusively for Israeli civilians killed by Palestinians, rather than for Palestinian civilians killed in Israeli attacks.

“The analysis found that, as of November 24, the New York Times had described Israeli deaths as a ‘massacre’ on 53 occasions and those of Palestinians just once.

“The ratio for the use of ‘slaughter’ was 22 to 1 …

“The Times does not characterize Israel’s repeated attacks on Palestinian civilians as ‘terrorism’, even when civilians have been targeted.

“This is also true of Israel’s assaults on protected civilian sites, including hospitals …”
