PETER HITCHENS: I wish someone else would ask this: What if Lucy Letby is not guilty?
Peter Hitchens -
'For years I angrily scorned Chris Mullin's campaign for the release of the Birmingham Six, Irishmen wrongly convicted of the 1974 IRA bombings in that city.
'I was so furious about the filthy cruelty of the crime that I could not see straight about the weakness of the prosecution.
'I apologise to Mr Mullin, and learned from him that our justice system is not as good as we like to think.
'So now I must ask: What if Lucy Letby is not guilty?'
Unknown commentedPETER HITCHENS: ‘If you WANT a war, it is much better to get the other side to start it’
“… King Charles's visit to France was deeply shocking on two counts.
“His blatant partisanship on the side of green zealotry …
“And his [repetition] of the factually incorrect claim that the Russian invasion of Ukraine was 'unprovoked' … The Foreign Office, which presumably supplies him with this line, knows it is ridiculous …
“… [Statesmen know] that if you want a war, it is much better to get the other side to start it.”

Re Russia and that so-called 'unprovoked invasion' of Ukraine
The success of that 'unprovoked' deception, is grounding new propaganda which will explain Ukraine losing the war as the West's 'victory'
Official 'story' developing is that, Putin has been 'stopped' from invading Poland, the Baltics and the EU ... hence it is a 'victory' with Ukraine 'sacrificing itself' to destruction, in order to 'save Europe' from the 'new Stalin', Putin
Plus Ukrainians, many of them dead now, will be blamed for 'not following NATO training & advice'
Western leaders see how successful it has been, to squelch discussion of:
- two Ukraine governments, under Poroshenko & Zelensky, refusing to honour the Minsk Peace Agreements
- Ukraine's 2014-22 attacks on the Russians in Donbass provinces, with 13,000+ dead per United Nations etc figures
These 'provocations' barely known to much of the public
And this very brazen, in light of multiple Western attacks on countries allegedly in order to 'protect minorities' - the famous USA R2P 'Responsibility to Protect', e.g.,
- bombing Serbia to 'protect' Muslim Kosovo separatists
- bombing Syria to 'protect' rebels there
- bombing Libya and laying waste to the nation, allegedly to 'protect' dissidents against Qaddafi ... but ending his free health care, free education etc for Libyans
yet Russians are not allowed to 'protect' Russians shelled and bombed in Donbass, that is a 'war crime' says the West
Western invasions all good, Russian invasions all bad

ReplyDeleteLucy Letby and many unanswered questions.
https://dailysceptic.org/2023/09/11/lucy-letby-must-be-allowed-an-appeal/
Dr Livermore analysis.
Beyond the usual grounds for appeal, the shaky + almost exclusive) circumstantial evidence and many flaws in the case. Despite all of that, there is something really strange about this case. I haven't decided what it could be and for what reason.
Dr Livermore's account is pretty decent and the appeal campaign likewise.
The hand written confession which formed part of the defence was contemporaneous notes/statements and questions (in some cases) that seem to relate to her being questioned by Police rather than an "I DID IT" type confession.
Despite all of that, something just feels decidedly odd about this.
Deaths continued after her departure, multiple problems with sewage in the unit and plumbers being called as expert witnesses.
Weirder still, a Change.Org petition was started against an individual called Richard Gill. The petition (weirdly) wants Thames Valley Police to investigate Mr Gill for contempt of court (or something), for daring to raise questions about the safety of the Letby conviction.

Hell, that’s been their Modus Operandi since the Vietnam War. The attitude filtered down to the grunt in the field and the aviator in the sky. As in, “how dare they fire back at us? Don’t they know our reasons for killing them are pure?”
ReplyDeleteOne can find such declarations in any Catholic or Mormon church
Prosecutors will decide today if killer nurse Lucy Letby will face a retrial over six counts of attempted murder in relation to five children after a jury was unable to reach verdicts.
ReplyDeleteLetby, 33, was sentenced to a whole life order after jurors convicted her of the murders of seven babies and the attempted murders of six others at the Countess of Chester Hospital’s neonatal unit in 2015 and 2016.
The 33 year old being considered for appeal/retrial already A decision to be made today. Seems decidedly odd.
