Three fathers who lost their daughters demand action

Emily Owen.

'Her father says that in the days before Emily Owen died, she was in fine form.

'Tim Owen recalls how Emily had visited her grandparents, singing Taylor Swift on the way home, and did a food shop (buying extra sweets) for her parents and three siblings
as lockdown loomed.'

Tim works for the Royal Air Force

'When several members of the family developed coughs, the Owens decided to go into self-isolation a few days before the country was officially told to stay at home.

'Emily woke agitated and stressed, keen to take the dog for a walk on a nearby beach. When she realised she couldn't, she walked into their garden, slamming the door behind her, and never came back.

'Her parents found her 15 minutes later and she was taken to hospital.

'When she was aged 15, she was diagnosed as having high-functioning autism

'Emily was an artist - and the life and soul of her home and friendship groups, known for bombing around the Norfolk lanes in her Mini.

'After the diagnosis of autism, she had decided to study art at college and then take an apprenticeship as a fitness instructor.'

"Mr Owen said his daughter had previously struggled with mental health difficulties and had been diagnosed with autism in 2018."

Get them to understand what is really going on.

Get them to read and write blogs.
