Miriam Cates MP

Miriam Cates MP:

“When culture, schools and universities openly teach that our country is racist, our heroes are villains, humanity is killing the Earth, you are what you desire, diversity is theology, boundaries are tyranny and self-restraint is oppression, is it any wonder that mental health conditions, self-harm and suicide, and epidemic levels of anxiety and confusion characterise the emerging generation?”

It’s quite possible to regard the above as only part of the truth or partly true — as an oversimplification that leaves much out, and which seeks to absolve ‘traditionalists’ from any share of blame or criticism — and yet still think there is some real validity and merit to Cates’ overarching
 argument.

  1. It's pretty obvious to sane over 50s that there is on one philosophy which can adequately cover all human experience on earth, which is why multiple faiths emerged. It's also likely that multiple post-faith formulations will emerge in the next millennium too. The real question is this: if children are bombarded with contradictory informational porn and don't have those around them wise enough to advise that they should withdraw from the internet whilst actually doing some thinking, then of course you are going to get depression, confusion, helplessness etc etc. It's not about what you end up believing in the end, it's about reaching conclusions your soul is happy to abide by.
