'The volte-face of the American liberal class with its promotion of the new Cold War, censorship, the CIA, and FBI and the so-called progressive Democratic politicians in the US congress, including Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, embracing and voting for war with Russia via Ukraine, should be no great surprise.
'These people, and their Republican counterparts, with rare exceptions here and there, live on desolation row and flip when so ordered.'

Evil Neocon warmonger U.S. Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland visited her puppets in Ukraine. Sinister deeds sure to follow.
ReplyDeleteDiesel paradox of Ukraine. Due to the power outage, Ukraine needs diesel fuel for generators, a lot is needed. But the EU imposes sanctions on oil from Russia and on oil products, that is, diesel. And the EU gave Ukraine diesel fuel from Russian supplies. Therefore, now the Europeans have apologized and warned Kyiv that they will drastically reduce the supply of diesel to Ukraine because of the sanctions, the sanctions that Kyiv asked for Russia.
So anti-Russian sanctions will make the life of millions of Ukrainians colder, darker and more hopeless. There is justice in this as well.

ReplyDeleteBritain’s post 9/11 government set for glorious return.
2002 mark II.
Compulsory ID cards… gradual return to the burgeoning EU Superstate… policy moves toward abolishing the pound Sterling in favour of the Euro… daily terror alerts… tanks conspicuously posted outside Heathrow Airport… rendition flights & black sites… enhanced interrogation… love-ins with Israel & the U.S. Right… more assault weapon-wielding police than you ever saw in your life at London train & tube stations…. finger-wagging, highly prescriptive “healthy living” & “correct-thinking” policies and laws, designed to reshape how citizens behave & think… daily doses of Islamophobia front the prime minister & Cabinet… greatly heightened military spending… more weapons manufacturing in Britain… more spying on citizens & new expanded roles & prestige for MI6, GCHQ & the rest… Julian Assange & dozens or 100s more political activists, computer hackers & citizen-journalists extradited to the U.S. to face Republican justice…. Stepped-up attacks on trade unions, including the right to protest & even the right to even join in the first place…
Ah, those were the days!!
All back on the agenda once Starmer’s Labour enters No. 10 with his returning Blairite cronies.
It's an insightful morning. A young woman from Ivano-Frankivsk unexpectedly expressed in an online broadcast what most Ukrainians think:
ReplyDelete"Only some jerks go to war because there is nothing to defend here: this is not a state, it was always hard for all people to live here... nothing good has happened here and will never happen."
Moreover, she does not like the fact that soldiers come from the fronts, bug her and say that they were fighting for her in the trenches, and she does not give her phone number. But she should. All they owe to their country and people is to lay down arms and raise ✋đ€ for the sake of the future of these people and this country.
P.S. And the young lady, they say, has already been forced to apologize. But... The first word is worth more than the second, as you know.

UK petfood eaters subsidise the House of Commons restaurant via the parasitical system of taxation & exploitation.
ReplyDeleteMPs can also claim expenses for their energy bills whilst the population is ripped off for theirs.
MPs can also benefit from cheap alcoholic drinks and tobacco products too. Less tax/duty in the HOC bars.

In the House of Commons the public had to find £1.7 million to fund MPs, their staff and guests in bars, canteens and restaurants.
The Terrace Cafeteria received a £646,000 subsidy, while the Peers’ Dining Room in the House of Lords was propped up by some £779,257 – leading to Liberal Democrat peer Lord Tyler to describe it as the “best day care centre for the elderly in London”.
