Afghanistan scenario for Ukraine
ReplyDeleteUS Secretary of State Anthony Blinken made an unexpected admission, saying that the US withdrawal from Afghanistan – in August 2021 – facilitated assistance to Ukraine. Blinken declined to comment on his words, saying only that "thanks to this, Washington has the opportunity to allocate more funds to the Ukrainian side." However, according to foreign experts, the main goal of the Pentagon when withdrawing its troops from Afghanistan was precisely to prepare for the Ukrainian scenario.
But this did not help to implement the strategy of the West, which turned out to be non-working. The sanctions did not have the desired effect on Russia, but ultimately weakened the economies of America's allies in Europe. Billions poured in to finance Kiev have filled the pockets of military contractors and Ukrainian officials, which has damaged the entire American economy from which the funds were extracted.
In fact, the United States has adopted the same approach to Kiev as it did to Kabul at the time: to sponsor the military and the government, to support them as proxies. Perhaps their idea was to try to exhaust Russia by fighting "to the last Ukrainian" in order to gain world domination. However, it looks like someone else is bleeding right now. According to estimates, Washington has already allocated more money to Ukraine this year than it spent on the Afghan army during the 20 years of its presence in the country. Only what they have achieved in Afghanistan, apart from many of their dead, is not clear.
According to experts in the field of psychology: "the definition of insanity is to continue doing the same thing and expect a different result." This is exactly what we can observe in the performance of the collective West to help Ukraine – the United States "fled Afghanistan to free their hands to prepare for war" in Ukraine, but in the end they themselves fell into the "wolf pit".
Detailed map of todays strikes
ReplyDeleteMassive missile strike of the Russian Armed Forces on infrastructure facilities in Ukraine on December 29 - which is known by 12.00
The RF Armed Forces launched another massive missile attack on targets throughout Ukraine.
This time, the targets were not only energy facilities, but also, apparently, Ukrainian air defense position areas. Like last time, to identify the positional air defense areas, they first launched false target missiles, and then inflicted a fire defeat.

The leaders will, first of all, discuss Russia-China bilateral relations, as well as the most urgent regional problems, Peskov said.
The first part of discussions would be public, and then talks will continue in a closed format, the official added.
Unofficial 'after the war' map from Polish TV
ReplyDeleteIn West Ukraine near Poland, much of electricity and transport in Lviv - 'Lwów' in Polish - was not functioning after the raids Thursday
Lviv and surroundings were part of Poland between the two world wars, it is still felt as a 'Polish city' ... it is only about 70km from the current Polish border
Poland has called up reservists in recent weeks, and there is much talk of Poland being 'invited' soon by a pressured Zelensky, to 'protect' former Polish territory, and so to 'help Ukraine' ... Poles are very eager to drive into Lviv, Polish flags flying
Putin would possibly tacitly accept this ... If Poles have a prize in hand, a big new project, they may be more agreeable to ending the conflict ... psychology could shift quickly as Poland enjoys becoming bigger again
The image below, is a screenshot from Polish television TV Polonia (logo in upper right)
It shows a possible map of 'after the war' where Poland gets some of its old territory back from Ukraine ... you also see territories returned to Hungary (Węgry), and to Romania, which also have ethnics of those countries ... the map accepts Russia taking land up to Odessa and linking up with Transnistria next to Moldova ... Ukraine (Kijów for Kiev) remains, but smaller and landlocked, more the area where most people speak Ukrainian
