“In January 2009 Peter Mandelson called his friend Jeffrey Epstein in the Palm Beach County Stockade (jail) that Epstein had inhabited after pleading guilty to procuring a minor for sexual abuse. The phone conversation was reported by UK broadcaster Channel 4 on the 'Dispatches' program, aired in October 2019, based on the account of Epstein's friend, who requested anonymity.
“During the call, Mandelson reportedly sought Epstein's assistance to set up a meeting with Jamie Dimon of JP Morgan bank.

Mandelson and Epstein were so close that the sex offender referred to his friend by a nickname (‘Petie’) during the conversation, the whistle-blower alleged.
“‘I must say I was astonished that a British cabinet minister at that time, probably the most powerful man other than the Prime Minister, was calling Jeffrey in jail to make an appointment, to seek an appointment with a very powerful banker in New York,’ the whistle-blower told 'Dispatches'.”

“In 2013 Deutsche Bank co-chief executive Anshu Jain appointed Lynn de Rothschild and Lord Peter Mandelson to the Alfred Herrhausen Society board of trustees.
“Around a month later, Deutsche Bank client manager Paul Morris brought Jeffrey Epstein on as a client.
“Once the Epstein relationship was underway, Deutsche Bank executives ignored repeated red flags, including suspiciously large cash withdrawals and 120 wire transfers totaling $2.65 million to women with Eastern European surnames and people who had been publicly identified as Epstein’s co-conspirators.”

The Epstein-related legal actions by the USA Virgin Islands territory - which has a separate government from the USA mainland - were filed by US Virgin Islands Attorney General Denise N. George who is head of the US Virgin Islands Department of Justice.
ReplyDeleteMs George's biography and photo, are a little down on this official Virgin Islands Justice Deparment web page

A question is whether Ms George has establishment approval for her action, or has she done this on her own?
Curiously, US President Biden and his wife, and three generations of Bidens, are all there in the US Virgin Islands right now to ring in the New Year.
Is the Epstein matter perhaps being discussed by some people?

Jes Staley was involved with Jeffrey Epstein since at least 1999.
When Jeffrey Epstein was locked up in jail for some 50 whole days (while the rest of the 13 months he was out on “work release”) in Florida, on one of those days Epstein was visited by James “Jes” Staley, a top executive at JPMorgan Chase (where he worked for 34 years).
In April 2015, Staley and his wife also visited Epstein on his private Little St. James island. At the time Staley was no longer working at JPMorgan Chase.
Epstein connected Staley with Glenn Dubin (whose former Miss Sweden wife he once dated), who ran Highbridge Capital Management, in which JPMorgan bought a majority stake in 2004.
Both Dubin and Staley are also on the board of the directors of the Robin Hood Foundation.

Jeffrey Epstein introduced one of his ex-girlfriends to Kimbal Musk, Elon Musk's younger brother. She dated Kimbal Musk in 2011 and 2012, and Epstein occasionally met Kimbal, who serves on the boards of Elon's Tesla and SpaceX.
Epstein and Elon dined together at least twice: a 2011 "Edge" dinner in Long Beach California, and another organised by LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman.
In 2013, Epstein was invited for Kimbal's 40th birthday party in New York in September 2012.
While Epstein didn't go, at Epstein's request the daughter of Barclays CEO James E. "Jes" Staley, Alexa Staley, did.
