FORMER Conservative MP Sir Teddy Taylor spoke of hearing rumours of a VIP paedophile ring at the time when he was in parliament.

He spoke after former Basildon Tory MP Harvey Proctor’s home in Leicestershire was raided by officers investigating the alleged abuse of youngsters at three London locations -

Grafton Close Children's Home in Hounslowand, Elm Guest House in Barnes, both in Middlesex, and Dolphin Court, which is close to the Houses of Parliament.

 Among other allegations, it has been claimed three children were murdered and many others abused.

A week earlier Tony McSweeney, 68, former parish priest of St Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Eastwood, was found guilty of indecent assault and three counts of making indecent images of children between 1979 and 1981, after preying on a youngster at Grafton Close.

Proctor was forced to resign for having sex with underage boys.

In the mid-1980s, MI5 received information that Leon Brittan had sex with teenagers.

In 1973, the Cabinet Office informed MI5 of rumours that Christopher Chataway engaged in sexual activities with children.

In 1984, MI5 received information that whilst overseas Charles Irving had rented a hotel room “to take boys”. 

LAMBTON, Anthony (later Lord Lambton) MP 

In 1973, the police passed MI5 information about an alleged video recording that showed Anthony Lambton involved in sexual activities with a boy.

PETERS, Colin John Meredith Diplomat 

Arrested in Naples after reports of the criminal assault of three Italian boys and his admission that he had committed homosexual acts.

Lord Janner, a Labour MP from 1970 until 1997 when he was made a peer in the House of Lords, was charged with 22 counts of child sexual abuse offences, relating to nine different boys, in 2015.
