Vaclav Havel (right)
Vaclav Havel was born into a wealthy family.
His grandfather, Vácslav Havel, a real estate developer, built a landmark entertainment complex on Prague's Wenceslas Square.
His father, Václav Maria Havel, was the real estate developer behind the suburban Barrandov Terraces, located on the highest point of Prague—next door to which his uncle, Miloš Havel, built one of the largest film studios in Europe.[9]
Havel's mother, Božena Vavrečková,[10] also came from an influential family; her father was a Czechoslovak ambassador and a well-known journalist.

'An article put today's covid-regime concerns in the context of the spiritual-themed warnings of the famous Czech liberation hero the late Václav Havel (1936-2011)
'Somewhat like Solzhenitsyn, Havel warned that Western modernity had become too technocratic and soul-less, too submissive to alleged 'science', and that decreasing spirituality was a great danger
'Tho about religion, Havel himself remained an eager spiritual 'searcher', rather than someone who was able to say clearly he had found a spiritual home. Havel had some Roman Catholic background in his youth - rare in Czechia, which today is still Europe's most atheistic country - and Havel went to church occasionally, but did not feel able to fully call himself a believer.

'As first post-Communist Czech President, Havel took great pleasure in inviting the Dalai Lama to Prague ... in this photo with the Dalai Lama, Havel is wearing a white 'khata', a ceremonial Buddist scarf ... Havel looking supremely happy

Havel said: "The heavy hand of centralised bureaucracy, makes everyone first powerless, then listless. These systems marginalise community and leave people with a fundamental sense of nonbelonging.
"Respect for human rights will mean nothing as long as this imperative does not derive from the respect of the miracle of Being, the miracle of the universe, the miracle of nature, the miracle of our own existence. It seems man can realize that liberty only if he does not forget the One who endowed him with it."

ReplyDeleteAs a Czechoslovak native, let me say that rarely in history has a bigger layabout, alcoholic and fraud been lionized than "St. Havel". Just another actor doing his puppetmasters' bidding - that's all he ever was.
ReplyDeleteHavel was a member of the Club of Rome, as was the Dalai Lama. ... Havel was also a freemason ... dissident Havel, who had a separate luxury cell in prison. ... a drug addict and an alcoholic ... Alexander Dubček was removed only so that Havel could become president ... and Václav Klaus? ... this was proposed by Havel as an economist, his friend George Soros ... Soros was the one who formed the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic after the coup (velvet revolution) in 1989 ... Havel was the elite that formed the NWO, installed as president ... himself Havel was an elite
