"A video by children of the charity group The Masaka Kids Africana has gone viral after they performed musician Drake's ‘Toosie Slide’ challenge.
"One of their videos got over a million views after the musician Drake posted the performance on his Instagram account.
"The charity’s drive to build better facilities for the orphans they look after, has now attracted $29,000, and also got 100,000 new followers on Instagram after Drake followed the account.
"The Masaka Kids Africana is composed of African children, from the age of 2 and up. Many have lost one or both parents through the devastation of war, famine and disease."
Drake is a multi-millionaire Jewish rapper, singer, songwriter, actor, record producer, and entrepreneur.
Drake, aka Aubrey Drake Graham, was born in Toronto, Ontario, the son of Sandi (Sher) Graham, a Canadian Jewish educator.
In his youth, Drake attended a Jewish day school, and formally celebrated a Bar Mitzvah in a religious service.[27][28]

ReplyDeleteThere is a successful set of techniques used to heal people's traumas, using the fact that trauma is recorded physically in the body
'Trauma Releasing Exercises' or TRE
Which are used in part, by people with 'Adverse Childhood Experiences' or ACEs ... of whom many have been readers here on this site
The techniques grow out of observation of animals, who somewhat 'shake away' their trauma, once they are out of danger
We are taught that it is better as adults not to shake or tremble
But in fact this can discharge the stress both of recent traumas, and of ancient ones, and thus prevent the traumas - and their associated negative ideas and emotions - from lodging in our bodies and haunting us
The benefits are palpable to many, and some people describe themselves as having their lives and minds saved by this
There are some rather simple yoga-type positions, which as you start to do them, will lead your body to shake or move in long-neglected ways
If you indulge and let go and do not worry about 'being silly' ... the feeling of healing can be powerful
Here is a description page providing some text introduction and history

Here is a 13min27 video from the leading teacher and practitioner of the TRE exercises, Dr David Berceli, showing six of the exercises being done
After an introduction the first exercise is at about 1m30
