Jesus taught that we are all brothers and that we should be tolerant and kind.
Some Christians have made the world a better place by feeding the hungry and healing the sick.
But, some so-called Christians have ignored the teachings of Jesus.

'Wearing beards and dressed in black, the religious zealots entered the temple and attacked the statue of the goddess Athena.

The religious zealots 'carried out 'the largest destruction of art that human history had ever seen'.

According to Nixey, after Christianity became the official religion of the Roman Empire, the Christians 'eradicated liberal, pluralist and imaginative virtues and ushered in the Dark Ages'.
The Dark Ages lasted from roughly 500AD to 1,000AD.
In Edward Gibbon's Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire, Christianity 'is seen as a brutal force for philistinism and iconoclasm (destruction of icons).'

Some of the early Christians were mad fundamentalists.
Catherine Nixey, in The Darkening Age, relates:
There were monks who didn't wash for fear of experiencing lust at the sight of their own bodies.
There was a monk who spent three years with a stone in his mouth.
There were monks who went about on all fours.
St Anthony made his home in a pigsty.
St Simeon Stylites stood on a pillar for 37 years until his feet burst open.
In other words, some mad Christians have a masochistic desire to be martyrs.

Historian Richard Carrier has written that references to Jesus in the work of Josephus were additions done by Christian scribes.
He points out that one particular passage, the execution of Jesus under Pilate, was obviously lifted from the Gospel of Luke.
It is probable that the Jews, such as St Paul, altered the story of Jesus, to tie it in with the Jewish Old Testament.

Jesus attacked the Old Testament.
Jesus said: "Turn the other cheek."
We think that those Jewish Christians who wrote the New Testament made alterations to the Jesus story, in order to tie it in with the Old Testament.
And, we think that the Romans made alterations to the Jesus story, in order to aid the Roman empire.
But, the true parts of the Jesus story have been of benefit to the world.
Joseph Atwill argues that, at the time of Jesus, Jewish sects in Palestine were awaiting a 'warrior Messiah'.
According to Atwill, the Powers-That-Be thus designed the Jesus story in such a way that it would appear to give the people a Messiah, while at the same time making sure that the people remained slaves.
Atwill says: "Instead of inspiring warfare, this Messiah urged 'turn-the-other-cheek pacifism' and encouraged Jews to 'give onto Caesar' and pay their taxes to Rome.
"Christianity can be ... an insidious form of mind control that has led to blind acceptance of serfdom, poverty..."
What do we think?
Atwill, being a fan of Israel, does not like a pacifist Jesus.
Many of the people who have opposed poverty and serfdom are the followers of the Real Jesus.

Crossan does not dispute that Jesus Christ really lived.

Crossan sees Jesus as a healer and man of great wisdom.
(John Dominic Crossan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )
(John Dominic Crossan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )
According to Crossan, Jesus's teachings would have upset the elite.
According to Crossan, "The Kingdom of God comes not at some future time
"You cannot point out the sign of its coming
"The Kingdom of God comes not at some special site
"You cannot point out the place of its coming
"The Kingdom of God is already here, among you, now."
Egyptians, by Veralyn Adeyinka
In a review of a Crossan book, Peter Broady wrote (Review of The Essential Jesus by John Dominic Crossan.):
"One can only wonder what the Jewish peasant who spoke of the poor and destitute as ‘blessed’ along with the ‘peacemakers’ and ‘those that hunger and thirst after justice’, and said that it is nearly impossible for wealth and the ‘kingdom of God’ to coexist, would think of our unimaginably wealthy country where the gap between rich and poor has reached heights unimaginable in his time..."
Jesus said, "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God."
He also said that he was not seeking glory for himself.
He also said that he was not seeking glory for himself.
Jesus wanted people to be humble, like little children. He wanted people to see themselves as servants. Jesus washed people's feet.
What about Jesus when he was criticising some of the Jewish leaders and calling them names?
In Matthew, Jesus says, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!... You blind fools!... You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?"
In Matthew, Jesus says, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!... You blind fools!... You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?"
This seems to conflict with Jesus's teaching about not judging people; and about seeing your own faults; about turning the other cheek and about not resisting evil.
When Jesus talked about being at one with the Father, that could mean many different things.
Jesus believed that we can all be one with the divine.
Jesus believed that we can all be one with the divine.

I find this a marvellous site (with all the diff. sections), very well researched. Written in March 2000. It should be read and absorbed by anyone with an open mind incl. you and Catherin N. who writes about the violence of the early Christians. Does she mention the violence of the later Christians I refer to above. Not to forget the Christians of today.
The ZioNATO countries of todays `Christian´ `free´ West are the attack dogs of the Askenazi (fake) white jews who are the majority of the slc, the sweet little country on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean.

Was often visited by Ophir a young guy, who shot heroine very exceptional since the younger generation of substance users don´t do that anymore. He was jewish had worked in a shoarma shop in Tel Aviv. Was visting me when the polak pope visited Jerusalem. He always shouted a lot. I really had to overshout him when we were watching this visit on tv. The polak pope slc visit was March 2000).
* The term `Indian´ comes from the delusion of Chris C. when he landed in the Caraibean isles and saw the black people. He thought he had made it to India. Chris C. knew of course Marco Polo had visited India in the 1300´s who saw black Indians in the south.
A basic fact almost gone out of memory, that´s how distortions come into play.
Enfin, the painting of St Mary of the Good Winds Buenos Aires

The very fact that the Talmud rabbis write about JC is proof enough that he is not a mythological character.

When interpretation the gospels to do this literally you misread it. The message is about Death, the total Dissolution of our ego. Then when the Ego is disintegrated the Christic force enters us and washes away our sins our debts we have accrued through all the wrong actions of our ego... This is the path of Gnosis
ReplyDeleteIn the Vedas the All (or give it a name) is called Paramatma the Oversoul.
ReplyDeleteAuthor Paul Brunton got many glimpses visiting Ramana Maharshi at Arunachala, one of his books has that name.
Paramatma is called in the Rig Veda the Author of Creation.
It is the Omnipresent Self-writing-naked-sheet. Brahman´s Braille.
Golgotha, Skull Hill.
JC in the middle in between 2 socalled thieves.
Symbol, sambal samenballing, describing the opening op of the Kundalini Nadi, the Sushumna, the middle channel, the Christ
channel, (je)Sushumna(di).
The Ida & Pingala, the 2 side channels give the experience of a skin encapsuled ego-I, steal as it were, the X-perience of Pure Subjectivity, the Cosmic ego-I.
Paramatma is I.T. Immanent in Creation and Transcendent to Creation yet it is no Impersonal Principle, I.T. has Soul, worse than that for the satanists among them the caballists who reduce it to Principle, it is Soul, the Oversoul.
Physics calls it Groundstate (Unified Field), we call it Mother Divine said another Maharshi in 1972 in Mallorca.
We will see what the nxt page reads....

I read some of it, aeons ago, but the real Guru says as Leonard Orr of Rebirthing said.: Gee You Are You.
Who Am I? This body, this mind, these emotions, these perceptions.
A great Advaita Teacher Nisargadatta put it this way: I am not any of my conceptioms nor any of my perceptions.
It is of course the same essence that JC taught: Kingdom of Heaven ´within´, only not in metaphors.
It is about Self Realisation (no-self). That´s what is meant in Zen: If you meet the Buddha, kill him. Or Christ it is still an object of your perception, but who tf are YOU. WHO tf am I.
Wait a moment Muslims are slim (smart in Dutch).

47. Watch (your) mind
(...) The Guru demands one thing only: clarityand intensity of purpose, a sense of responsibility for oneself. The very reality of the world must be questioned. Who is the Guru, after all? He who knows the state in which there is neither the world nor the thought of it, he is the Supreme Teacher. To find him means to reach the state in which imagination is no longer taken for reality. Please, understand that the Guru stands for reality, for truth, for what is. He is a realist in the highest sense of the term. He cannot and shall not come to terms with the mind and its delusions. He comes to take you to the real; don't expect him to do anything else. The Guru you have in mind, one who gives you information and instructions, is not the real Guru.
The real Guru is he who knows the real, beyond the glamour of appearances. To him your questions about obedience and discipline do not make sense, for in his eyes the person you take yourself to be does not exist, your questions are about a non-existing person. What exists for you does not exist for him. What you take for granted, he denies absolutely. He wants you to see yourself as he sees you. Then you will not need a Guru to obey and follow, for you will obey and follow your own reality. realise that whatever you think yourself to be is just a stream of events; that while all happens, comes and goes, you alone are (...)

"The true guru will never humiliate you, nor will he estrange you from yourself. He will constantly bring you back to the fact of your inherent perfection and encourage you to seek within. He knows you need nothing, not even him, and is never tired of reminding you. But the self-appointed guru is more concerned with himself than with his disciples." --Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

As a Christian, I appreciate all the tremendous amount of work you have put into your article, Aangirfan.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading up about John the Baptist, after being quite startled by some Biblical researchers. They pointed out that the odd discrepancies between the Nativity stories of Matthew & Luke are because the only actual source for the whole Nativity story of the Virgin Birth comes from Mary. The Gospel writers and Apostles only knew Christ as an adult, when Joseph was long gone, along with all others connected with the Nativity story except Mary.
What's even stranger is that some researchers suggest that Elizabeth wife of Zechariah is the true mother of twin sons Jesus & John the Baptist, and that as soon as Mary heard about Elizabeth's pregnancy with a "holy child", she rushed to play midwife, deceived and drugged Elizabeth in childbirth, who didn't know she had borne two boys, one of whom was smuggled away by Mary and presented to the world as her own "holy child" from a "virgin birth". If so, it means that millions of Catholics all around the world have been worshipping an Impostor who stole Baby Jesus from his real mother Elizabeth.
We know that after Zechariah sent Elizabeth & baby John the Baptist into the desert to escape Herod's slaughter of the innocents, Zechariah was murdered by Herod's soldiers near the altar of the temple, as Jesus Himself mentions in the New Testament, for refusing to tell them where he had sent his wife & baby son. And that's how John the Baptist ended up living his life in the desert, because his mother Elizabeth fled to the Essenes for protection from Herod.
I know it all sounds very shocking & bizarre, but there are a lot of strange things about the relationship between Jesus & John the Baptist, who humbly gave away his disciples, telling them to go to Jesus, but did not go himself, and even had doubts while in prison, probably wondering why the Messiah of God didn't rescue him, as some apostles like Peter & Paul were miraculously rescued by angels from prison later. After John baptized Jesus, he never saw Jesus again. Another researcher pointed out that John the Baptist was the first Christian martyr, but is completely ignored, while that honour is given to St. Steven as "the first Christian martyr".
May I also add that you are absolutely right about the Council of Nicaea.
ReplyDeleteJesus never claimed to be Almighty God, creator of the Universe, but taught us to pray to Our Heavenly Father, as He prayed to His Heavenly Father in the Garden of Gethsemane. He did not pray to Himself. Of course we should adore Our Redeemer! But we should not forget to thank Our Heavenly Father for sending us His Beloved Son.
For 300 years after the birth of Christ, Christians both East & West believed that Almighty God is greatest over all, and CREATED the immortal spiritual beings called angels, archangels, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, who all existed long before the earth, and live with God in heaven, except for the Fallen Angels who were cast out. Jesus' devotion to God was so great that God called him his "son" and sent him to take MORTAL HUMAN FORM for a time, in order to redeem us from Satan's power. It was Satan the Fallen Angel who demanded Christ's Sacrifice, because Satan is eaten up with bitter envy, and Satan claims our souls, because God gave us FREE WILL, and humans chose sin and evil.
The blasphemous "Triplet Trinity Lie" was forced upon Christians by the Jewish "Popes of Alexandria" led by Athanasius, to falsely elevate Christ & the Holy Spirit as equal to Almighty God, in order to elevate the human Mary to "goddess" status ABOVE Almighty God. This was established by the Catholic Council of Nicaea in 325 AD, denouncing 300 years of "Antiochian" Christians as "heretics" led by the devout 75-year-old Arius, who was slapped & knocked to the ground by Athanasius' gang before the whole Council, then later poisoned and all his writings destroyed.
Interesting that the very same Athanasius was also responsible for forcing Christians to swallow the Book of Revelations heresy, which was NOT accepted by early Christians, nor the early Catholic church, and even Martin Luther doubted its authenticity and relegated it to an appendix. Nowadays, Christians are obsessed with Revelations.
Forty years later, at the Catholic Council of Laodicea in 364 AD, Christian congregations were forbidden to sing in church. For over 1000 years afterward, they were forced to keep silent while listening to the monks chanting in unknown Latin (which Luther said sounded "like braying donkeys").
Seventy years later, followers of the same "Popes of Alexandria" gang rammed Blasphemous Mary-Worship "Theotokos Mother of God" through the Council of Ephesus in 431 AD.
And it was all downhill from there, until the Protestant Reformation.

Interesting passage:
ReplyDelete"Can we trust the official story on Jesus?
Historian Richard Carrier has written that references to Jesus in the work of Josephus were additions done by Christian scribes.
He points out that one particular passage, the execution of Jesus under Pilate, was obviously lifted from the Gospel of Luke.
It is probable that the Jews, such as St Paul, altered the story of Jesus, to tie it in with the Jewish Old Testament."
According to the research of Ralph Ellis, it is much more likely that the four Gospels and the "Acts of the Apostles" were all plagiarized from the works of Josephus, since his works pre-date them, by as much as 50 years.
He also argues that Jesus of Nazareth is based on the true story, recorded by Josephus, of the Syriac King, Manu (hence the name Immanuel) whom Josephus calles Izas (hence the name Jesus). And "Saint" Paul's life story is an event for event plagiarism of the life of Josephus himself.
He's written several longish books on these topics, but the easy way to learn about his research is to listen to his 11 lectures on the books series, archived here: https://www.bitchute.com/playlist/HnNeHCk68ZPT/
Fascinating stuff!
