Eating chili on a regular basis apparently reduces the risk of death from various illnesses.

In his 35-year career, Dr. John Christopher (1909 - 1983), an American herbalist, didn't lose a single patient who had suffered a heart attack, thanks to cayenne peppers. He gave a cup of cayenne pepper tea (a teaspoon to a cup of water) to patients who were still conscious. Within a minute, they were all alive and safe.
