  1. Lol. I'm planning a trip there a week on Monday. Let's not judge a book by its cover.

It's what's on the inside that counts! Perhaps I can report back after seeing it in the flesh.

The old saying goes 'you can't polish a turd' so no surprise then that the V and A is clearly in good company in the metropolis of Dundee.

Let's reserve judgement until I've had a look. I will try and be as objective as possible. Perhaps the collections or exhibitions are top notch and the building might grow on us all (or look better in the flesh).

Oddly enough, I will be in the V and A in London the Saturday after my trip to Dundee. Maybe I can reserve judgement until I've seen both. Maybe seeing both will give it more objectivity and context.

Equally, having just arrived back from some of the poorest parts of East Africa, even Dundee and the V and A will no doubt look pretty good compared to the grinding poverty that exists elsewhere.

    Peace to the humans.

  2. I live in Dundee and I can safely say to you that it's a vile eyesore. Then again, considering our modern architects, most certainly are all following agendas, then it's hardly surprising.

They're pumping everything they can into the V&A in order to try a push up the status of Dundee. Fancy bars, restaurants, parks etc have all been constructed, but again, it's the typical failure of Dundee councils that always shines through in the end. There is no employment in Dundee. It's effectively a student village, where they love to promote multiculturalism.

They destroyed Dundee in the 70's, knocking down what was the old town. Millions of people travel to Edinburgh to see the sites, that could have also been Dundee today, but too many brown envelopes, in the back of corrupt councilors and property developers, saw Dundee demolished, of course, fitting in with the globalist agenda of complete cultural destruction.

I certainly won't be going to the V&A. I've no intention of having anything to do with the pomp and prestige of English royalty. I also hate going anywhere near the whole area. It's an eyesore, as I've already stated and the bars and restaurants are incredibly overpriced and would suit far better in London than a working class city like Dundee.

And yet, ironically, the new breed of brainwashed Dundonians, many not from Scotland, like to elevate their status by paying £4-5 for a pint, in some wanky joint, owned by some immigrant. They are students. Yes, students, of which I was one some 30 years ago, but certainly never had the money, nor the inclination to drink in any of these upper class establishments.

Dundee is a dead city. It has no character. It's now a new town, like Cumbernauld. High unemployment and premises in its own high street, with To Let signs outside. Heck the city arcade has been empty since the mid 90's!!!

The only shops that ever seem to open up are coffee shops and hairdressers. Just around the corner from where I live, there are 3 hairdressers within 20 yards of walking distance. And thirty yards on, there are another three.

And the blacks and Asians are now piling in as well.
