Trump's 2019 budget proposal:
1. Greatly increase spending on the military.
The U.S. already spends more on the military than the next eight largest spending nations combined.
2. Greatly increase the deficit.
One estimate shows that the national debt could grow to $30 trillion in a decade.
3. Spend little on infrastructure.
Trump is offering no new funds for bridges, railways, roads and tunnels.
Amtrak (rail) funding is to be cut in half.
When it comes to spending on infrastructure, local governments will bear the majority of costs.
This means Americans paying higher local taxes, fees and tolls.

4. Cut help for ordinary Americans.
Trump will cut $1.7 trillion from Medicare and other entitlements, despite campaign promises.
Trump will cut the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) budget by about 34 percent.
"It's a scam to line the pockets of corporate polluters by gutting protections for our environment," said the Center for American Progress.
