SOLE JAHWAY

SoleJahway writes:

The moment I got into my car with the ashes of my beloved black labrador Jo, Highwayman, by The Highwaymen, came on (the first time I ever heard it).

And for the next four or so months afterwards it would come on just about everytime I'd turn on my music.

I knew, from the onset, it was Jo letting me know that he was still with me.

But, it wasn't until about three or four months later that I was able to really listen to the words, while cleaning (of course), that I realized, the song is about reincarnation!

Anyway. I know life is eternal.

Yet, every single time, I slow down enough to really notice a sign of eternal life, it blows me away as if it's the first time. Every time.

  5. Since we're on the subject Aang, have you seen a film Dean Spanley? It stars Jeremy Northam, Peter O'Toole, Sam Neill, and Bryan Brown. 2008.

Believe it or not, it's all about the reincarnation of dogs. Ordinarily I'd tell people not to let that put them off but in this case it will no doubt serve as a spur.

Let me just say it's a proper gem of a film and I cannot recommend it too highly. Peter O'Toole will bring a tear to your eye at the end. Do watch it.

  6. Hi Aangirfan,

Off topic but I thought this was worth sharing.
    Cut and paste from news:

    ---
PYEONGCHANG, South Korea (Reuters) - South Korean intelligence sources have that confirmed North Korean leader Kim Jong Un paid a surprise visit to the Pyeongchang Olympics. He came to support that nation's cheerleading squad who were there to cheer a unified Korean team playing Japan.

Disguised as an Australian named Howard, Kim Jong Un waved a Korean unification flag, applauded the cheerleaders and waved to the crowd.

"He was really convincing," said an anonymous intelligence source. "We all thought he was Australian."

Doubts were raised by the choice of pseudonym.

"Then he said his name was Howard. What sort of Australian name is that? Bruce we could believe, but Howard? At that point we knew we were talking to the real Kim Jong Un."

A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said, "I was too mesmerized by the cheerleaders to notice. North Korean women really like red. And so beautiful. How do I get a green card for North Korea?"

Bruce Willis, a former senior Australian diplomat, said, "I was really disappointed. At first I thought an Australian citizen was fostering warmer relations between the two countries. An Australian Dennis Rodman, so to speak. But that was a great gesture from Kim Jong Un. I could never imagine an Australian Prime Minister supporting our cheerleaders like that. And they're beautiful too. But what's with those masks?"

Bruce Bannister, an Australian synchronized cheerleading coach, said, "They're so well synchronized. Like clockwork. And beautiful too."

U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, who attended Friday’s opening ceremony along with the North Koreans, declined to comment, as he was busy petulantly ignoring Kim Jong Un's younger sister, Kim Yo Jong.

Professor Bruce Lee, who teaches neuropsychology at the Australian National University and is an expert in nonverbal communication, opined that Pence's behavior clearly indicates he is secretly in love with Kim Yo Jong.

President Trump, who has been temporarily replaced by a presidential impersonator while he sailboards in the Bahamas, could not be reached for comment.
