The child abuse report you published in 2015 about organised child abuse in Kasur, Pakistan, has raised its ugly head again. The have supposedly caught the mastermind who kidnapped a little Zainab, raped and killed her. Any inside news on this?

ReplyDeleteMSN - Controversy over Corbyn’s Holocaust memorial message
What a load of baloney! How do they get away with this nonsense, every one knows what the holocaust refers to? This is a fake outrage to discredit Corbyn. KV
A longer message from the Labour leader, printed in a booklet for the service, referred by name to Jewish Holocaust victims, including Anne Frank, as “our Jewish brothers and sisters”.
In the HET memorial book, Mr Corbyn wrote: “We should never forget the Holocaust: The millions who died, the millions displaced and cruel hurt their descendants have suffered.
“We should understand the way fascism arose in Germany and the circumstances that gave space for the Nazis to grow.
“At this, and at all other times, we should reflect and make sure succeeding generations understand the power of words.
“Their power to do immense good and inspire; and their power to promote hate and division.
“Let us use their power to educate, to inspire, but above all to build values of trust and respect.”
His message sparked controversy on social media, with some Twitter users comparing it to US President Donald Trump’s failure to mention the Jews in his Holocaust Memorial Day message in 2017.
Message of support given by Jeremy Corbyn for the Holocaust Memorial Day ceremony
Simon Johnson, chief executive of the Jewish Leadership Council, said: “It is hard to believe anybody can neglect to mention Jews when writing a Holocaust Memorial Day Message, let alone the leader of the opposition.
“Mr Corbyn displays a complete lack of sensitivity to those who survived the atrocities of the Holocaust and its impact on the Jewish community.”
And a spokesman for the Campaign Against Anti-Semitism described it as “a disgraceful forgetting at a ceremony purposed for remembering”, adding; “We call on Mr Corbyn to apologise and issue a new statement.”
Jonathan Greenblatt, of the US-based Anti-Defamation League, said: “To omit any reference to Jews or anti-Semitism in your Holocaust remembrance statement is offensive to us and the millions murdered. Nazi ideology was rooted in hate and anti-Semitism. We can never forget that.”
A Labour source said: “Jeremy was clearly referring to the millions of Jewish victims of the Holocaust and their descendants.”
I got caught out, Aang, it turns out that the Institute for New Economic Thinking is a Soros think tank.
ReplyDeleteA few weeks ago, Czech President Miloš Zeman was a very lonely European leader, in supporting Donald Trump's decision to recognise the Israeli capital as Jerusalem
ReplyDeleteThis weekend, Zeman has won a Trump-like 'surprise victory' against all expectations, winning re-election as President of the Czech Republic, and defeating the more standard EU-type 'technocrat' candidate
Zeman drinks a lot and is often publicly inebriated ... he expresses outspoken views against Muslim immigration and Islamic influence in Europe ... Czechs find him a likeable character, a symbolic national 'uncle' figure if often tipsy and eccentric
Another step in Europe going toward the Right
On 4 March there is a major election in Italy ... tho comedian Beppe Grillo's 5-star (dubiously) 'populist' party is favoured -
Italy is on track to give some also 'surprising' results to the developing right-wing coalition including Silvio Berlusconi, Lega Nord's Matteo Salvini, and others ... who are significantly tinged with themes of anti-immigration, nationalism, etc ... once again, Europe moving toward the Right
Notably, the Italian industrial and export groups are quietly lining up against the EU and the euro currency, tho they are smart enough not to campaign on leaving the euro - a confusing issue for ordinary people, scaring those with euro bank savings
But the Italian oligarchs have come to the conclusion that their intrinsically-strong export economy would be doing very well outside of the German-run EU & euro regime that Berlusconi has openly called a 'scam' ... pre-planned chaos in the EU? ... the reason that the City of London secretly sponsored Brexit?
Was moving much of Europe to the Right, a goal of the oligarch plan - a plan that included importing millions of somewhat rough migrant 'refugees' to spur the Right's ascendancy?
Good comment ! Italian banks are in very weak condition, some "volcanic explosion" can shake banking system of this country, still better than real explosion of Etna, but shocking for the masses on a dramatic scale,
Deleteand, as always, benefiting the small, tiny in size, group on the top...for how long ?
Am very sad to see all the nations line up for the killing of hundreds and thousands of Kurds and expelling them from territory
ReplyDeleteIt is especially shameful for the USA, after the Kurds worked and died for US interests, now the US abandons the Kurds to be killed by Turks who hate them
Is this not 'genocidal ethnic cleansing'?
Even 'alternative' voices of Left and Right are largely supporting the Turkish killings of Kurds, because 'the Kurds are friendly with Israel' or 'Russia and Iran support it too'
This is all horribly Machiavellian to me ... I think it does not matter if the Kurds are enmeshed with corruption, Israel, the drug trade or anything else ... Kurds have a right to self-sovereignty, regardless, and in international law as well per the UN Charter etc
But no nations or powers really respect people unless it suits their interests
Kurds are just like Poland, they are clearly an ethnic group of several tens of millions, living in continuous territory, with their own language and ancient culture, distinct from others, their nationhood continually sabotaged
Of course Kurds have corrupt alliances in their desperation ... all peoples oppressed for centuries are somewhat damaged and corrupt ... Look at India, or Ireland, or Poland
Iranians claim to care about Palestinians ... But if Iranians really cared about 'sovereign peoples', they would let the Kurds and Balochis leave Iran
If the Russians really cared about 'principles', they would let their Chechens and Dagestanis go free, they would rescue their fellow Russians in the Donbass being killed by Ukrainians ... but Putin does not want more 'nationalists' inside Russia, whom he treats worse than pro-Western people
There is very little 'moral principle' amongst nations ... Westerners horrified by US-UK etc corruption, look too easily to Russia - China - Iran etc as 'opposition heroes'
But all we really have, are turf wars by oligarchic sub-groups, jockeying for position ... the USA is the biggest bully, but then there are sub-levels of bullying ... China bullies Vietnam, which bullies Laos and Cambodia
If there was true 'opposition' by governments, they would join in exposing 9-11 ... the laughably fake '9 trips to the moon' with 6 'moon landings' that started 50 years ago 1968-72 ... and that nuclear weapons do not exist, and that Hiroshima & Nagasaki were chemical fire-bombings just like Tokyo
But the 'nations' are playing along with almost every scam out there
Brabantian, interesting,
ReplyDeletebut - as being a Polish bloke - i do not feel neither "damaged" nor "corrupted" haha...
But on the country level, yes, till some extent you're right.
And how is Brabantia ? Still some " la vie est Belge" mood or end of dream ?
