ORIGIN OF CHRISTIAN TEACHINGS

From where did 'Jesus' get his ideas?

"He was meek, and merciful.

"He was criticized for associating with sinners.

"He celebrated a last supper.

"He forgave his enemies."

That was Krishna, born in 3228 BC in India.

Jesus was a Jewish Communist?

Communists do not generally believe in the Divine.

However, Jesus appears to be a bit Socialist.

According to Acts 2: 44, 45:

"All that believed had all things in common.

"And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need."

Acts 4:34

"For as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them ... and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need."

Matthew 6:24.

Jesus said: "You cannot serve both God and Money."

Jesus is an important figure in the Koran.

Luke 18:18–25

Jesus said: 'Sell all that you possess and distribute it to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven.'

Galatians 3:28

In Christianity, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

Which is more important - the person of Jesus or the ideas of Jesus?

The History of Jesus is disputed.

The ideas of Jesus may not all be unique to Jesus.

According to the Akkadian Councils of Wisdom (Babylonian civilization that existed two millennia before Jesus was born):

"Do not return evil to your adversary.

"Requite with kindness the one who does evil to you, Maintain justice for your enemy, Be friendly to your enemy."

Jesus was not the first to teach 'Love Your Enemy'.

According to Buddhist wisdom (written centuries before Jesus was born)

"Shame on him who strikes, greater shame on him who strikes back.

"Let us live happily, not hating those who hate us. Let us therefore overcome anger by kindness, evil by good, falsehood by truth. Do not hurt others in ways that would be hurtful to yourself."

...

According to Taoist wisdom (written centuries before Jesus was born):

"Return love for hatred.

"Regard your neighbor's gain as your own and your neighborʼs loss as your own loss.

"Whoever is self-centered cannot have the love of others."

Jesus was not the first to teach 'Love Your Enemy' / 'love your enemy'

According to the Koran (Qur'an 41.34-35):

"The good deed and the evil deed are not alike.

"Repel the evil deed with one which is better, then lo!, he between whom and you there was enmity shall become as though he were a bosom friend."

...

The 'official' History of Jesus is suspect?

Among the 10 Christ-like Figures Who Pre-Date Jesus are:

Zoroaster/Zarathustra

"Zoroaster was born of a virgin and 'immaculate conception by a ray of divine reason.'

"He was baptized in a river.

"In his youth he astounded wise men with his wisdom.

"He was tempted in the wilderness by the devil.

"He began his ministry at age 30.

"Zoroaster baptized with water, fire and 'holy wind.'

"He cast out demons and restored the sight to a blind man.

"He taught about heaven and hell, and revealed mysteries, including resurrection, judgment, salvation and the apocalypse.

"He had a sacred cup or grail.

"He was slain.

"His religion had a eucharist.

"He was the 'Word made flesh.'

Zoroaster’s followers expected a 'second coming' in the virgin-born Saoshynt or Savior, who is to come in 2341 AD and begin his ministry at age 30, ushering in a golden age.

Attis of Phrygia

Attis was born on December 25 of the Virgin Nana.

He was considered the savior who was slain for the salvation of mankind.

His body as bread was eaten by his worshippers.

He was both the Divine Son and the Father.

On 'Black Friday,' he was crucified on a tree, from which his holy blood ran down to redeem the earth.

He descended into the underworld.

After three days, Attis was resurrected.

How odd of God to choose the Jews.

  1. I am so relieved,
that after adhering to evangelical christianity,
I decided to be a follower "in the way" of Jesus,
I can try my best to practise what he advised his followers should practise.
I awakened to the christ, and therefore Jesus IS my saviour,
whatever men may say regarding him.
I am on my chosen path, and in such a company of saints as have spoken before!
thatI can live my faith blessedly free of all the bollocks is a constant source of quiet joy,
    Thank you Jesus.

  2. I suggest you read the Phoenix Journal's Angel. That is where you'll get the true meaning of what Jesus is about. Do you not think that Jesus or Buddha or Krishna were not the same Soul brother /sister. Ah but the truth will set ye free.

  3. Kudos Aangirfan for teaching what the Mystics across all the traditions have known through the aeons and what our institutionalised religions fail to teach: across the Planet and throughout time: we are One in the Eternal Divine

Wishing the ex-convent girls and circus performers all the blessings of Christmas- peace, joy and love xx

    3. Few of those who populate the middle east today, are not the same people who populated it 2000 years ago. King Ramses has DNA close to that of ancient Britons.

  7. Nutter or God? C.S. Lewis axiom. Who went on to suggest a wider perspective shows us moving closer to -- or further from -- God. Not future set but ever-present options. Of course, could all be fables, fictitious stories. Could be elaborations on an original reality. On proceeding ones with similar ideas, expected. Not so with details looking like Jesus-life a copy. This in dispute. Some and some. In ethics and ideas, there's 'nothing new under the sun'. Jesus reflects what's considered best, not exclusive authorship. Happens to be what God reveals. What's claimed is personal offering for life 'with' God. In and through this person and actions. Not a philosophy or rule book. Some One here/now, reaching out to us in love. Few have heard this. Or let's say, billions ain't. Add to this, proper versions. Not perverse bunkum. Clear Jesus taught a kind of communism for the local church, not so, and for the wider community. A question might be; Do we have to divorce from alternative visions -- could be a/God --before marrying Jesus? This name, his intended call-upon and response? Assume, there's truer than ever-seen light in this search -- then what? Get slagging and dismissing once-held alternatives? No -- No need. Reasons to adjust our thinking, may involve movement and yet, mystery. Discernment -and- openness can hold together. We/I... lift up Jesus, because of who is and happening. As for competing claimers? Jesus had it in for the religious-sounding slagger-off-ers. Sincere and honest? Encouragement. Paul at Mars Hill, acknowledgement. Sure there's this -or- that but isn't prescriptive as a prerequisite to engage-into. Might be a mix to some degree. Better and try not always compare. Read healthy places, bridging investigations. Here like and somewhere recently contributed to. The laudable; 'The Oneness of Humanity - Spiritual Evolution 2017'.

  8. I'm not really a Christian because I'm going in a more Buddhist direction. But maybe its my christian upbringing but there is something about Jesus that is compelling so my Buddhism has the spirit of Christianity in it. I don't like the Bible much, especially the Old Testament, but when I think of the Devine an image comes up of the light, serenity, peace, wholeness, compassion, love, magnificence, safety, beauty, oneness, our final home. The essence of Jesus' love moves me and shows me the light, and It is beautiful, it is heaven.

Is there such a thing as a Christian Buddhist? I think there is. I really like the Quakers.

'Buddhist direction' isn't so incompatible, except in final conclusions. Always suggest Thomas Merton. All good but lately, No Man Is an Island, fulfilling. Might find a booster? Best to ya.

  12. A while ago a gospel of Jude was found. in it Jude says he knows Jesus came from another planet. Strange is that hardly any news about deciphering this ancient found gospel is not shared. Just like i read that some archeology was found where
Sumerian inscription was coupled with the same inscription in an different language, already decoded, which would make translation of the famous Sumerian claytablets possible. Zecharia Sitchin has been fully debunked, by real scientists, historians and has been proven to frequent Rothchild parties. Still many still refer to his writings as actual historic facts. Some years ago some real historians claimed our entire history of the last 2000 years is false, frauded.

  15. From Laurency, in The Knowledge of Life: "Jeshu, in the gospels called Jesus, was born in Judea by Israeli parents in the year 105 B.C. They were very wealthy and belonged to the highest social class. Mary had been offered to give birth to an avatar, and since she and her husband Joseph were gnosticians they knew what this meant. They left their son free to develop in the manner he found suitable himself."
