This - can be - a deathly and destructive religion. For Bowie? More or less, harm or searching, bad for others or innocuous..? It was, and is, all the rage. Has anything he’s sung, said or done offset thoughts he’s a bad-un?
Rock/pop, the movie world, as y’know is gagging for hidden powers. This and historical cultural accepted sex abuse. All would see as read, certainly up to the 80’s. Voluntary and mutual exploitation. Groupies want/rockers want. Hollywood was worse because of all the potential employment opps. There it was; shag or stay unknown and/or unemployed. As far as ‘gay’ goes, in some ways it’s more widespread post-80’s, for obvious reasons. But I don’t get what, this/that, particularly signifies? Then or now? Only blackmail - and that is one big problem. And child abuse - but who, when, what..?
The questions I’d like to grapple with, are around why so few today are interested in Aangirfan activism? How has pop over thirty and forty years been contrived to manage influencing this? Through what direct manipulation with which evolving contradictions and disconnect?
What to do? Write off all music made in 50 years on the scales above? Who wasn’t into Crowley and - in the strictest definition - ‘sex with children’? Rather than Bowie, take the lot on? At least he was relatively transparent? (Assumed). If not, what leaked out that makes him, likely most-enemy, contributing to the building of our prison planet? I give you, as we all know, Jimmy Page is a Crowley-ite? Again though, what does this mean?
You’re right to put up some dots. We’re right to be suspicious. Oh you pretty thing could cover some dreadful ugly but... in balance? Although I can barely play one Bowie song today, because I’m not into any-of-it, any more, he might have been a lot better than not, certainly compared?

I wanted to keep my understanding firmly in the here and now but am forced to have to consider other options. This is challenging because it requires straying into the difficulty, reconciling, theologically. Long and short; nurture, nature - or, ...well, back to what God’s done/doing?
Write, pray and write. It is one mystifying question that isn’t easily explained by reasons I generally thought would.

I am sorry for his family for their loss, but I've never understood the appeal of Bowie's music. To me it sounds thoroughly soulless, pretentious and clinical, and I can't help thinking the 'experimentation' was a cover for a lack of human connection and emotion that to me is essential for great art.

I absolutely adore so many of his tunes.... his music was like "paintings" in sound... and, although he had some sinsiter connections in his youth I am sure he was, at least since the mid-seventies, not part of any nastiness anymore. Guess, he went to Berlin and he also refused knighthood, to get rid of these people, who - maybe - playd a role in his youth.

Actually, he was very private, and the fans hardly knew anything about him. Unlike Lemmy, be told us loads about his life. David Bowie was kind of weird like that. But Lemmy was far more relaxed.

ReplyDeleteAmazing how after a celebrity dies, many "experts" show up and blab that he or she didnt have talent, didnt have charisma, was like this, like that, did this, did that etc. Too true, its available for many, but not for Bowie, no matter how much ud foam about it. He had both talent and charisma. That they were used sometimes in a wrong way, thats another story.

This definitely gives credence to the theory that he faked his death. Not to mention that liver cancer causes awful jaundiced yellowing skin and his picture in the article, taken when he visited London recently with his wife shows his skin very pink and healthy looking ....

I would be more inclined to believe that he had been ritually sacrificed..... Perhaps there is a secret underground OTO snuff movie with Bowie as the starman.... I see no reason to imagine that he is out in Israel living the high life.... Bowie was not a saint and maybe he really had some "dark" connections, at least in the beginning of his career. I think Tony DeFries is suspicious.

But I refuse to believe he was an evil man or even a paedo like Savile (Bowie never mentioned Savile, and Savile just mentioned Bowie from meeting at TOTP. I don't think they had much in common!).
Everyone knows, Bowie was interested in Crowley and maybe also involved in some "dark" stuff, but I think, when he was going to Berlin he wanted to get rid of this. He always was a "searcher". He also was planning to become a buddhist monk at some time.

Later in the 90ties he recorded "outside" with interesting lyrics. I sometimes think he wanted to get something off his heart from his past, what he maybe was not allowed to talk about.
And, think about that he refused the knighthood. Guess he did not want to get too much involved with the elites.
I am convinced he was a "goodie". Saw him a few times live, met many people who knew / met / talked to him. Everyone still is full of "love" about him. His vibrations were good ones. He made people happy, helped and encouraged so many!
Lori Maddox maybe was just 13, but she was a hanging around with Sable Starr, a "professional groupie". And she was bragging aboout the Bowie-story all the time. Yes, it was wrong to have sex with her without having a look on her ID-card. But you cannot compare that to a children-luring and raping Jimmy Savile.
If we look at the women Bowie had relationships with, we see, that he mostly was attracted to women, who were confident, tall and even a bit masculine. He was not into little kids!

DeleteWell you know..I am having a hard time accepting his so called death.There are way too many strange facts. Just Boom here today gone tomorrow come on..No Nothing!! His family allowing things to be "no fuss" who does that? No one but no one..Fine one day smiling for photos and then gone...NO!!!! it does not work that way. I have been on a sort of mission with this and I feel that Black Star was a reflection of his likes and passions . His art.. the characters of his mind made real through music...He wanted what he wanted when he wanted it...and he usually got it..the people that deceived him to get what they wanted from him... I could go on and on because there is so much more to this story. this whole thing on him saying goodbye in Black Star is funny..then the occult come on people are you that closed minded????? Sick or not sick the man is a collector and someone is trying to bully him ....but the truth is They Can't..
