Robert Fisk said that what first started the trouble in Syria was when Assad brutally fired on people who were demonstrating against his government. But it turned out that that was a false flag. Anti-Assad forces had infiltrated the crowd and shot the protestors.

That guy who wrote The Greatest Murder Machine in history is an ultra conservative, possible white supremacist. He might be right about radical Islam murdering 100 million Africans but Western Christian did something similar. He accuses liberals of being effeminate, but it is ultra conservatives like him, and ultra conservative Muslims that cause all the problems. They're all the same.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to put this on his site:
Were American Indians the Victims of Genocide?
Thus, according to Ward Churchill, a professor of ethnic studies at the University of Colorado, the reduction of the North American Indian population from an estimated 12 million in 1500 to barely 237,000 in 1900 represents a"vast genocide . . . , the most sustained on record." By the end of the 19th century, writes David E. Stannard, a historian at the University of Hawaii, native Americans had undergone the"worst human holocaust the world had ever witnessed, roaring across two continents non-stop for four centuries and consuming the lives of countless tens of millions of people." In the judgment of Lenore A. Stiffarm and Phil Lane, Jr.,"there can be no more monumental example of sustained genocide—certainly none involving a 'race' of people as broad and complex as this—anywhere in the annals of human history."The sweeping charge of genocide against the Indians became especially popular during the Vietnam war, when historians opposed to that conflict began drawing parallels between our actions in Southeast Asia and earlier examples of a supposedly ingrained American viciousness toward non-white peoples. The historian Richard Drinnon, referring to the troops under the command of the Indian scout Kit Carson, called them"forerunners of the Burning Fifth Marines" who set fire to Vietnamese villages, while in The American Indian: The First Victim (1972), Jay David urged contemporary readers to recall how America’s civilization had originated in"theft and murder" and"efforts toward . . . genocide."Further accusations of genocide marked the run-up to the 1992 quincentenary of the landing of Columbus. The National Council of Churches adopted a resolution branding this event"an invasion" that resulted in the"slavery and genocide of native people." In a widely read book, The Conquest of Paradise (1990), Kirkpatrick Sale charged the English and their American successors with pursuing a policy of extermination that had continued unabated for four centuries. Later works have followed suit. In the 1999 Encyclopedia of Genocide, edited by the scholar Israel Charny, an article by Ward Churchill argues that extermination was the"express objective" of the U.S. government. To the Cambodia expert Ben Kiernan, similarly, genocide is the"only appropriate way" to describe how white settlers treated the Indians. And so forth.

Thanks for that, I was stunned to see that piece linked here, it is like a virus is spreading through us. Reading the article it is deliberately and ridiculously skewed. For example, since the target is Islam it decides to include the actions by pre-Islamic Arab traders in it's "victims of Islam" death toll. How low is that? How intellectually bankrupt to attempt to blame a religion that did not even exist for the crimes committed by people who later became Muslim? Disgusting.
DeleteEr,DOOD;What you are describing represents the savagery of so-called Christians & Jews.& of course the Red Indian was the textbook "noble savage".(Ever read about the Comanches?.)& YES,Jews were in the Americas in large numbers, well before the White man appeared. They often pretended to be Baptists,Methodists,Catholics, etc. It was a Jewish trader who gave the Whites the idea of giving smallpox infested blankets to the Redman.
Delete& the trans-Atlantic slave trade was wholly Jewish in finance & organisation.& it would NOT have been possible without the very active co-operation of the coastal black tribes of Africa.Do some research - get some facts.Stop talking White guilt rubbish.
Oh,& one further thing - do you think that if the Americas had been taken over by the Chinese, who certainly had the naval capability to do so - that the result would have been "nicer"?.

Fisk is trying to blame the Middle Eastern wars squarely on antagonism between Shias and Sunnis. There might be a certain antagonism between different religious groups, but available evidence is proving, that the Western powers with their mercenaries (e.g. Academi) are stirring up hatred among different factions, under the old game “divide and rule”.
ReplyDeleteFisk must be well informed, that Israel, USA and their lackeys in NATO are pulling the strings, not the least in the case of ISIS, he is trying to blame everything on Assad.
Caveman
Robert Fisk was one of the first authors I read on the Middle east and he is certainly far more honest and knowledgeable than most mainstream journalists.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the Fisk interview and he said some important and true things but the overall narrative of blowback is absolute crap and he knows that but is simply too gutless to say it.
This notion that the terrorism is the unfortunate response to Western imperalism is utter shite. It is completely backwards, the terror attacks are conducted as a first step to facilitate the acts of imperialism the notion that they are some kind of underdog response to Western aggression is a pure lie.
The characterisation of the Iraq insurgency as being an indigenous response to the invasion is also a total joke. Of course it was partly that but many other things also.
Prior to the invasion of Iraq the US already had the leader of what would become al Qaeda in Iraq ready and waiting in a training camp in the Kurdish/US controlled area of northern Iraq.
The CIA knew they were there and asked for permission to attack them from the air but were denied.

"The United States deliberately passed up repeated opportunities to kill the head of al-Qaeda in Iraq, Jordanian-born terrorist Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, before the March 2003 US-led invasion of that country."
Fisk's nose is like Bardolph's in Henry IV part 2. Good for starless desert nights. Also suggests a man at war with himself. No concern at all for suffering humanity.
