I realize that this is an elergy and is intensely emotional material for Chinese people affected by the Opium Wars. However, there is more to the story than is being told. Not to diminish the crimes of the Sassoons and their collaborators, but what were some of the root causes of such ardent opium addiction among the Chinese?
My study of Chinese history informs me that the Chinese imperial government was treating the average Chinese person as a subhuman animal to begin with. Then, there were greedy and corrupt Chinese at all levels of society who were only too eager to take advantage of other Chinese and profit from their suffering. In fact, Jews are so numerically small a group, that the great majority of their opium business must have been in the hands of Chinese dealers in order to supply 600 million with a daily fix.
The author of this documentary does not examine the role of the Chinese in their own oppression, just as many blacks do not want to view that fact that their ancestors may well have been sold to Jews by fellow Africans.
Today the elite leaders of the Chinese and the Jews are getting on famously, with the same basic worldview and sleazy ethnocentric business strategy. At the end of the day, both are Godless materialists who have authoritarian values and disregard for the lives of the poor whom they exploit. Is it any surprise that they would get involved with exploiting each other? How much of Sassoon's money made certain Chinese extremely weathy, one has to wonder? Would these elements later return as players in China's communist government?
Elegy for 600 makes man very salient and sobering points. We have a Jewish lawyer who is also an ancestral Hakka who has enough brass to confront the very puppetmasters he might have descended from thousands of years before, announcing, specifically, two very significant Jewish families complicit in drug trafficking and genocide, not only that, but we have an declaration of complete involvement of the British Monarchy, vastly increasing their wealth and fortunes for, shall we say, more black projects. On an interesting aside, the infamous sea class cruisers called Clipper ships, the evolution of their design on the water, was highly influenced by this huge intentional effort at subjugating the Chinese people with their drugs (and every other illicit effect of drug abuse, ie, weapon, sex trafficking and child abuse) as the three main countries and companies involved, Britain, Portugal and the US, had to compete to see who could get their product there the fastest (not all too unlike how the car racing industry was born through Prohibition bootleggers).
But more importantly, trying not to detract from the horrors of the Chinese that suffered at the hands of the British and others through their debilitating drugs before and after the Opium Wars, is that we have a first hand EXAMPLE, a TEMPLATE if you will, on a most effective way to debilitate and cripple a society and make them servile and fragile enough for complete annihilation. As the video stated, most Chinese at the time were so drug addled and out of their minds it was a complete slaughter for the British. Do we have any more examples of this kind of practice among us in contemporary society? Well, obviously. It is with beyond a doubt and no doubt at the time that the huge influx of Colombian cocaine in the 80's and then the crack epidemic made huge dents in society that can never be repaired and of which we are seeing the severe consequences from today (in a bit of a twist of irony just a few days ago the DailyFail ran a story of how Pablo Escobar's son has implicated old Blue Eyes, Frank Sinatra, as a major player in Escobar's financial affairs, bringing a nice round circle back to some of old Sinatra's closest friends). Of course heroin and cocaine epidemics have been a staple in the US for a century or more here in America but it wasn't quite as significant as what was started in the 80's with the Bush Cartel. Of course we now know that there would be no heroin for the street OR the pharmaceutical companies if America didn't have their 'best and brightest' protecting the fields of opium in Afghanistan and waging proxy wars and regime coups in South America.
It is quite significant that two very prominent Jewish families can be directly linked to a process that is in similar play here in America run by the security services and our politicians. The same gamut run on the German people in the late 1920's that lead to their degradation. Each time, we are connecting the dots to some very prominent people that make it their career to feign disinterest and animosity toward the other camp, but are all evidently quite in collusion with each other at the top, regardless of their professed ideologies. From the Sassoon and Rothschild families, using this tactic, extending to those you did the same thing in Wiemar Germany in the 20's through the 30's (including Hitler and most significantly Goebbels propaganda), to the same template being used here in America suggests quite a bit of circumstantial proof of who is really running the show.
I hated opium when I tried it. I had had morphine when I was a teen and diamorphine too, but I didn't like it. I smoked it on several occasions with friends, and they loved it but it just made me feel sick. They weren't my best friends, just dodgy ones.
Years later I discovered that you could buy pure opium in any British pharmacy. I couldn't believe it when I found out. I tried it but hated it. It was a cough mixture and tasted diabolical, but it's only active ingredient was morphine in an opium base. You can't buy it anymore. Some people say that opium is more pleasant than the hard drugs morphine and heroin (dimorphine), but opium is just morphine and codeine. I hated opium as well.
Although I was disappointed at the time I was probably extremely lucky. For many people it is the most fabulous high in the world, and one that is almost instantly, and entirely addictive. I had an operation once and I was in loads of pain and so they injected me a strong pain killer, it didn't do a thing.

Fwiw, tobacco is more addictive than opium.
