    Biden’s Son Defends Judge Who Spared Du Pont Pedophile from Prison

    Superior Court Judge Jan Jurden’s decision to order probation instead of prison for a du Pont family heir who raped his young daughter has led to threats against her and calls for her removal from the bench.

    In a letter to the News Journal, Attorney General Beau Biden said Thursday the case against Robert H. Richards IV was weak and prosecutors offered an appropriate plea bargain that spared him prison while convicting him of a felony sex crime.

    Biden defended Jurden, writing that the judge “exercised sound discretion based solely on the merits of the case before her” and doesn’t let a defendant’s “wealth or social status” influence her decisions.

    Biden’s office, which had originally charged him with two counts of second-degree rape punishable by a minimum prison term of 20 years, had given Richards the plea deal to fourth-degree rape and recommended probation.

    Hi! Was Beau going into a real prosecution on Jerry Sandusky? Sandusky has been convicted of molesting 10 other boys. He's imprisoned but maintains his innocence.
    Matt Sandusky is one of six children adopted by Jerry Sandusky and his wife. He also described abuse in a documentary called "Happy Valley" (2014).

    Now Peter Saunders, founder of the National Association for People Abused in Childhood, says such comments might technically be correct “because there are so many offenders that we wouldn’t be able to build enough prisons to house them all.”

    “The issue of paedophiles sexually abusing children is a massive, massive problem, a huge problem that permeates every sector of society,” Saunders told Press TV on Sunday.

      I've a capital idea. How about we legalise drugs and all behaviour that does not cause harm to another being or their property and use the (massive amount of) prison spaces gained to lock up the child predators that an uninformed observer could be forgiven for thinking that there was no prohibition on such behaviour given the reticence to arrest, let alone prosecute, such deviants.
