KRISHNAMURTI

Let us look first at what kind of person might join a cult.

The so called 'Expectant Visionary' is the sort of person who joins a cult that is led by manipulative predators.

DO YOU RECOGNISE THESE PEOPLE?

'Expectant Visionaries' defend themselves against reality by reinterpreting reality.

They are romantics and approach a new mate full of enthusiasm.

Visionaries enjoy travel, in the hope of finding new illusions.

They are wishful thinkers.

Charles Leadbeater (right) (Krishnamurti as a young boy Meditation Handbook Home)

Let us look at a typical cult, some of whose leaders lived for a time in Hampstead in London.

"The story of Krishnamurti sums it all up: from juvenile sex-object to inspiration of a million-dollar guru-business in 1920s California."

How to peddle your own guru.

Charles Leadbeater liked boys.

James Wedgwood liked boys.

"James Wedgwood ...was caught cottaging by the police - 18 lavatories in two hours - he said with hauteur that he was searching for a friend known in a previous life."

Leadbeater and Wedgewood set up the Liberal Catholic Church.

Leadbeater and Wedgwood were also top people in the Theosophy Movement.

Leadbeater took a keen interest in the boy children of the Theosophists.

Bishop James Wedgwood

In 1922, Bishop James Wedgwood settled in Paris "abandoning his ecclesiastical position temporarily to pursue a life of sexual excess."

In Gay Paris, Bishop Wedgwood "fell victim to cocaine addiction, also supplying his boyfriends with the drug, and took to smuggling it past the authorities inside his crozier"

Blavatsky (centre) and two of her 'Masters'

Wedgwood claimed that beings called the 'Masters', who lived in the Himalayas, held him in high regard, and that he was the recipient of mysterious messages from these Masters.

Reportedly, these 'Masters' were an 'invention' by Madame Blavatsky and the 'fraud' had been exposed as early as 1884.

In 1884, Charles Leadbeater arrived in India.

He wrote that while in India, he had received visits and training from some of the "Masters".

In 1885, Charles Leadbeater was in Sri lanka, where he founded the English Buddhist Academy, which became Ananda College.

In 1889, Leadbeater returned to England .

...

In 1906 Leadbeater was accused of having encouraged adolescent boys, pupils under his care, to masturbate.

Roland Vernon writes: "It came to light that Leadbeater had been teaching his boys masturbation, and had been encouraging them to practise it regularly...

"Leadbeater had in the past repeatedly stated the importance of sexual purity."

There is much evidence that Leadbeater frequently shared beds with his pupils.

New Messiah?

In the early part of the last century, members of the Theosophists believed that a new Messiah was going to appear.

Around 1907, 11-year-old Hubert van Hook of Chicago was selected by Leadbeater as the possible Messiah.

Hubert later swore that Leadbeater had 'misused' him.

Mary Lutyens, in Krishnamurti: The Years of Awakening, had this to say regarding Leadbeater and another of Leadbeater's favorite boys:

"Leadbeater came prancing down the wharf ... holding on to the arm of a very good-looking blond boy of about fifteen.

"This was Theodore St John, an Australian boy of great charm and sweetness, who was Leadbeater's current favourite and who slept in his room."

Krishnamurti

In 1909, while in India, Leadbeater "discovered" handsome fourteen-year-old Jiddu Krishnamurti at Adyar.

Leadbeater believed Krishnamurti to be the new Messiah, the World Teacher,[26]

Leadbeater stayed in India until 1915, overseeing the education of Krishnamurti; he then relocated to Australia.

Leadbeater (right) Nitya (centre) Krishnamurti (left)

Leadbeater taught Krishnamurti about the 'Masters'.

Krishnamurti had a brother called Nitya who developed tuberculosis.

In 1925, when Nitya was seriously ill, Krishnamurti received word from mysterious higher beings that Nitya would recover his health.

Krishnamurti described having a meeting on the astral plane with these higher beings.

The Theosophist George Arundale reported that he had been assured personally by the Masters that they had great plans for Nitya's future.

Shortly afterwards, Nitya died.

Nitya and Krishnamurti (Krishnamurti as a young boy)

Krishnamurti looked like a celibate guru.

However, he had a long and intimate affair with his friend's wife and then had a long and bitter legal battle against his friend in order to stop any knowledge of it becoming public.

Krishnamurti (right) and Nitya

Krishnamurti, after the death of his brother Nitya, gave up his belief in the Masters.

Krishnamurti came to believe that enlightenment was not to be found by messages from Tibet or by following some Messiah.

Krishnamurti decided that each person can find enlightenment immediately, from inside themselves.

The kingdom of heaven is within you.

According to Roland Vernon, Krishnamurti believed that there is some kind of divine energy in all creation and that enlightenment comes 'through a state of union with this energy.'

This idea is found in Hinduism and other religions.

Like Buddha, Krishnamurti thought that enlightenment comes when a person is freed from selfish desires such as the desire for money or fame.

...

Roland Vernon (Star in the East: Krishnamurti, the Invention of a Messiah by Roland Vernon) suggests that human beings invent or imagine the angels, masters and other such creatures.

But he believes we should not necessarily ignore these imaginings.

These inventions may, in some instances, represent or symbolise some kind of spiritual reality which cannot accurately be described in words or pictures.

(Page 155 Star in the East)

Vernon writes: "The mind works to build physical images of what are essentially metaphysical entities".

How sane, balanced, and happy are the people ...

  1. Most of the time when a westerner begins explaining the science of yoga, that is your first clue to proceed very cautiously with much skepticism. It is a bit like a first grader lecturing you about rocket science.

    1. Syncretism and the parallels between the Essenes and Buddhism will explain a lot to any newcomer. For those still following my reply, the Codex Nazaraeus is a clear example of eastern origins in early Chrstianity. As a grown-up Catholic, I had a crisis with my religious credo in the past, so did a lot of read from various sources. I gladly tell you that this topic - as other religious ones - were greatly covered in the past by various authors. Most of these books are freely available on https://archive.org/

      Cheers.

  2. This is what you get when you declare ´God is dead´.

The whole lot of western ´intelligentsia´ drifted away from some 2000 years of Christianity, which had proved to be able to build a fantastic culture.

The question should be, who were the people suggesting these ´intelligent elites´ to leave Christ, to betray their own cultural heritage, their own gene-pool so to speak?

Something tells me it was the synagogue of satan! The 'synagogue' intermarried and befriended the aristocratic and intelligent classes, fed them with all kind of nonsense, fed them with lots of easy and free sex and of course tons of opium and other mindnumbling stuff (the Sassoon bankers family owned the opiumfields in China and India), and so they took control of Western Societies. We saw a repetition of this scam in the sixties with all those Western hippies searching in India for the 'Real thing'. All bullshit of course, many of them found an early death or total alienation from their own heritage.

God is not dead, he is alive and kicking, but if YOU decide to turn your back on him, YOU end up death; at least morally death.

The not so intelligent western intelligentsia fell for the soothing words of the devil and accepted by free will their own demise. In Russia the authentic Christian intelligentsia was murdered by the synagogue - 'kill the best of gentiles', but here in the West there was no need to kill them literally; they fell easily for the lies, they killed them morally.

In Russia we can see the 'Resurection of Christianity'.
    Happy Eastern!

    1. Did Nietzsche kill his own Gods but kept God in his heart?

Is the message of eternal recurrence not urging us to be good? Has the concept of beyond good and evil been misconstrued by way of nazism and relished by those of shorter thoughts, in order to place themselves above the so called rabble in precariously construed Ivory Towers? I've never read any of his work, so I wouldn't know.

    2. Easter is Babylonian no?

      *makes contorted face*

Don't hurt me, i love the archetype of jesus as much as i love lucifer, you know the dude Milton and others made into a being when he wasn't there before and now is integral to our collective imagination..

Don't hurts me when i compare Plato to Jesus and his narrative to that of Socrates in morality in preparation for death.

    3. I don´t care if Easter came from Babylon. I am not claiming that Christianity came out of the blue. To me Christianity is a correction of all the things that went wrong thanks to the false priests of those days. And the Church Fathers preserved what was good in the older religions.

Because of all the blood shed and human sacrifice that went on in those days, God sent His own Son as His Sacrifice to mankind. This is where the Catholic Holy Mass is all about! We do as Christ himself told us to do unto eternity: 'eat the bread and drink the wine because this is my body and my blood'. Apparently there is deep in humans a 'need' to sacrifice. The Christian God wanted to put an end to all this sacrificial bleeding you see in the OT. The NT is what Christianity is all about. Imagine! What religion has a God that tells that He offers the Ultimate Blood to men?

Although I feel some sympathy for Hinduism, I cannot stand the society it has built. I despise the upper classes in Hinduism, the Brahmin who mishandle the lower classes of Untouchables. That, to me, is just another form of talmudism with this ugly concept of lesser people. The Untouchables are the Goyim in talmudic Judaism.

The whole lot ?! Come on.

I was searching for cheap cannabis, without the prohibition nonsense we had (still have) here.

You don't define what exactly is 'bullshit', unless it is the 'Real thing'. What ever that is.

  4. Yes the elites did all of those things. Yes and there have been many charlatans who have misguided the masses.

On the subject of “Christianity” I suggest the science of yoga and the Tao are the greatest remaining remnants of what Jesus really advocated. In the west there is an overwhelming tendency to view “religion” as a belief system. The science of yoga is not a belief. The tenets have been scientifically proven time and time again. It leads to higher consciousness and the medical practices of Vedanta heal the body. As they say it is not what you believe, it is what you know. Yes people can ignore the Christos, but it will not ignore them. The two highest powers in the universe, positive and negative energy still make the grass grow, divide the cell and form lightning in the sky when they meet. They form a baby in the womb and spur the heart to continue beating even when one is asleep.

“If the souls of men were created by God out of nothing, they cannot be immortal, they must die. It is illogical to assert that the soul which is created should exist forever. If you wish to preserve immortality, first prove the pre-existence of the soul. The churches do not believe in the pre-existence of the soul, but preach its everlasting life after death, which the Hindus say is absurd on the face of it, and on the contrary to all we know of nature’s laws

As in India, Buddha rebelled against the ceremonials, rituals, and priest-craft of the Brahmins and introduced a simpler form of worship and a religion of the heart, so among the Jews, nearly five hundred years after Buddha, Jesus of Nazareth rebelled against the priest-craft of Judaism. Jesus saw the insufficiency of the Jewish ethics and ideals and the corruption and the hypocrisy of the priests. He wished to reform the religion of his country and establish a simpler and purer form of worship of the Supreme Being, which should rest entirely upon the feelings of the heart, not upon the letter of the law.

It preaches the truth boldly, and at the same time accepts all the phases of truth discovered by scientists, philosophers, and seers of Truth (Rishis) everywhere and in all ages, while enough room is left in the religion of Vedanta for the admission of any truths that may be discovered in the future. Thus Vedanta establishes the foundation of a universal religion, embracing the teachings of Jesus, Buddha, Krishna, Confucius, Zoroaster, Mohammed, and all other spiritual teachers of the past and of those who will come in the future while it proclaims in a trumpet voice to the world

This science of Yoga, as has already been stated, explains all mysteries, reveals the causes of miracles, and describes the laws that govern them. It helps us to unravel the secrets of nature and to discover the origin of such phenomena, as are called miraculous. All miracles like ‘walking on the sea’, ‘feeding the multitude with a small quantity of food’, ‘raising the dead’ that we read of in the life of Jesus are described by the Yogi as manifestations of the powers that are acquired through long practice of the Yoga. These powers are not supernatural; on the contrary, they are, in nature, governed by natural laws, though higher, and are therefore universal. When these laws are understood, that which is ordinarily called miraculous by ignorant people, appears to be the natural result of finer forces working on a higher plane.”

  7. I have to admit, this is one of my favorite subjects.

Hinduism actually means "The Search For Truth". Who could possibly be against that? It was a long time before I realized I was a Hindu. Even the atheist is a Hindu for is also has embarked upon his own search for truth.

    Cheers

  8. 'Let us look first at what kind of person might join a cult.'

Circumstances... someone we meet, our hungry enough heart for big answers. We could join. The search for truth with a group who provides dialogue, mission and an alternative community, (a) god – an intriguing prospect. Given the right times and places, a vulnerability. The secrecy and isolation, the need to insist in uniqueness to the point where communication with outsiders is deceptive and overly-defensive. This is abhorrent and destructive. I'm an open and progressive Christian, holding traditions (at least weighed and tested by historical theology) to proclaim a distinctive - and held by many – mix. Those naming Christ, who don't share this perspective but remain in the sane and sensible, not calling others 'cult', at least outside a grounded widely agreed consensus – are not cults. They follow what the New Testament instructs about disputes with fellow believers. Early Christians wouldn't follow the cults of Empire/Emperor and preached a person, one message: Jesus.

Religio can be defined as the public act of participation in the state cult. Superstitio was the private act of belief. In theory, all of the religions of the Empire could hold whatever superstitio as long as they participated in the religion.

  9. In 321 A.D. Emperor Constantine decided sunday was a day of prayer as it was a day of sun worship among the pagans. He was a suspicious man as he put to death his own son and his wife due to suspicions, he massacred all of his rivals and was then canonized.

In the Council of Ephesus, which was held in 431 A.D., monks and bishops screamed: “Whoso speaks of two natures is a Nestorius, and let him be cut asunder”. A bishop was kicked to death by another bishop in course of their arguments, and 137 corpses were left in a church to attest the convincing reasons by which the most ruffian side proved its orthodoxy.

Such were the assemblies of saints who formed the pillars of the structure of Churchianity. We can easily imagine the nature of the guiding spirit of those councils, which established the creed of the church. From the beginning of the history of churches, down to the present day, freedom of thought and freedom of speech, that are the most essential characteristics of true religion, have been suppressed; and fanaticism, bigotry, curses, anathema, religious persecution, tortures of inquisition and diabolical crimes have been committed in the name of religion. Even Islam had Vedic beginnings.

Few are aware that Constantine had journeyed to India and studied Vedic text under Brahmins. Then he went to work. The Papacy was “a Vedic priesthood” until Constantine the Great killed the Vedic pope to replace him with the head of the hitherto unimportant Christian sect. This instantly ensured the Europe-wide triumph of Christianity because of the “sacred sway of the holy hoary Vedic priest known as the Shankaracharya” There has been debate over the veracity of his faith because he was baptized only on his death bed. See article on the Constantinian Shift. He was British born.

Jesus tells me everyday is a day of prayer. Would that I. The cult Christian, difficult to join. Illegal battered to death at times. From 25 thou. (100 A.D.) by twenty mill. by Constantine. Banging on and on about ...and on and on about, Jesus.
