THE HIJACKING OF ISLAM

..

It is possible that Muhammad lived from c. 570 - 632 AD, and that his religion was one of peace and tolerance.

It is possible that Islam was relatively obscure until it was hijacked by Abd al Malik ibn Marwan, the Arab Emperor from 685 - 705AD.

Abd al Malik ibn Marwan may have turned Islam into the official religion of his warlike empire.

It could be argued that Christianity was a religion of peace and tolerance until it got hijacked by the Roman Empire.

Did the growing Arab Empire decide to adopt and alter Islam?

The official story is that Muhammad died in 632 AD.

In 661 AD, Muawiyah I became the leader of the Arab Empire.

No mention of Muhammad or Islam can be found in any of Muawiyah's inscriptions, coins, or documents.

Islam: The Untold Story.

"There is no mention of Muhammad anywhere in stones, script, monuments, or other sources from the Middle East during his actual lifetime."

Was Caliph Abd Al-Malik the real creator and the prophet?

Apart from 'a single ambiguous reference in the Koran', there is no mention of Mecca in any datable text for a century after 'Muhammed's death'.

Islam: The Untold Story.

In the Koran, 'Muhammad' addresses farmers and agriculturalists while his opponents are described as keeping cattle and growing olives and vines.

The home environment described by 'Muhammad' as having farmers and agriculturalists could be in the Negev desert in Southern Israel.

There was no agriculture in Mecca.

Islam: The Untold Story.

Under the reign of the Arab Emperor Abd al-Malik ibn Marwan, Mecca may have been erroneously portrayed as Muhammad's home, in order to provide Islam with Arabian origins.

Abd al Malik ibn Marwan, the Arab Emperor from 685 - 705AD, may have been the inventor of the warlike form of Islam.

Was Caliph Abd Al-Malik the real creator and the prophet?

In 2012, the historian Tom Holland produced a TV documentary for the UK's Channel 4 which said:

1. There is little evidence to support the 'official' story of Muhammad.

2. There are questions about when the Koran was written.

3. Mecca may not have been the birthplace of Muhammad.

Holland asked why it took several decades after the death of Muhammad for his name to appear on surviving documents or artifacts.

Holland claimed that much of the story of Muhammad was developed some time after the death of Muhammad.

Empires in 600 AD.

The map above shows various empires in the year 600 AD.

Boundaries continually shifted.

For example, in 613, there was a 'Jewish revolt' against the Byzantine Empire.

In 614, Persian and Jewish forces temporarily captured Jerusalem.

23 years later, the Arabs conquered Syria and Jerusalem.

According to "A Response to Channel 4′s 'Islam: The Untold Story' ":

1. Early Christian chronicles in the seventh century elaborate on the origins of Islam, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and some of the laws practised by the early Muslims.

In the documentary Holland admits the existence of these Christian narratives, but seems to dismiss their validity without justification.

Below are some examples of these chronicles:

Doctrina Jacobi written in 635 CE

A document called Doctrina Jacobi written only two years after the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) clearly mentions that a prophet had appeared amongst the Arabs:

"I, Abraham, went off to Sykamina and referred the matter to an old man very well-versed in the Scriptures. I asked him: 'What is your view, master and teacher, of the prophet who has appeared among the Saracens'.

The questions is: who was this prophet among Arabs?

Note:

1. Doctrina Jacobi was apparently written sometime between 634 and 640.[1][2]

2. It makes no mention of 'Muhammad' or of Islam.

Sira - biographies of Muhammad.

2. A record of the Arab conquest of Syria written in 637 CE, just 5 years after the death of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), clearly mentions him by name.

"…and in January, they took the word for their lives did the sons of Emesa, and many villages were ruined with killing by the Arabs of Mụhammad and a great number of people were killed and captives were taken from Galilee as far as Bēth."

Note:

1. The text above is a much faded note added to a manuscript.

This note appears to have been written soon after the battle of Gabitha (636 CE).

The actual date is not known.

The fragmentary nature of this note has resulted in scholars advising caution.

Dated Texts.

2. Even in the 7th Century AD Muhammad was a very common name.

3. Sebeos, Bishop of the Bagratunis (Writing c.660 AD)

An early seventh century account of Islam comes from Sebeos who was a bishop of the House of Bagratunis. From this chronicle, there are indications that he lived through many of the events he relates. As for Muhammad (upon whom be peace), he had the following to say:

"At that time a certain man from along those same sons of Ismael, whose name was Mahmet [i.e., Mụhammad], a merchant, as if by God's command appeared to them as a preacher [and] the path of truth."

Note:

1. There are doubts about whether or not the above was actually written by Sebeos.

2. It is only assumed that Sebeos wrote the account and that it is only assumed that it was written in the 660s AD.

Library has been dated to the 7th century - the earliest phase of Islam - making it at least a century older than previously thought. Expert analysis of three samples of the manuscript parchment concluded that it was more than 95 percent likely to have originated in the period 649-675 AD - 20 to 40 years after the death of the Prophet Mohammed. Such scientific dating of early Koran manuscripts is rare.

Most likely attributed to Ali Ibn Abu Talib - Cousin of the Prophet. Can elaborate on this, but it requires pages.

  17. Epistemology. The getting of knowledge. There are entire libraries of books written on the subject. They are almost all largely useless.

Why? Because they are written by rosy-cheeked and innocent academics who assume an informationally-benign epistemic universe.

In reality, all knowledge has a source. Often sentient sources, people, who have an agenda. Non-Muslims, and Zionists are infamous for this, often wish to discredit Islam. And bankers, of course, have a vested interest in eradicating religious proscriptions against usury. And "Muslims" have their own agenda, often not conscious. The Arab tyrants of Saudi and Qatar, for example, wish to maintain their wealth and power. And, in conjunction with the Zionist and Angloamerican plutocracy, are perfectly prepared to use satanic instruments like ISIS to achieve such ends.

The only agenda you can trust is the pursuit of metaphysical absolutes: truth, love, justice.
And these are in diametric opposition to ambitions of the secular world. These are absolutes driven by pure faith. Cleansed of the concerns of this impermanent world we inhabit.

And to progress beyond this world of animal selfishness, to become more than mere apes, we must be cleansed of the base and selfish aspects of our nature. Even if by fire and pain.

The English in particular have a long history of misunderstanding Islam.

The BBC documentary you mention earlier was created by people. With an agenda. Other commenters have observed.

And I read a story on RT just now about Winston Churchill, the archetypal Englishman. In a recently-discovered letter, his sister-in-law tried to dissuade him from converting to Islam. She needn't have troubled herself, apparently. From Winston's own hand:

"The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property, either as a child, a wife, or a concubine, must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men".

This betrays the grossest misunderstanding of the religion. The prophet of Islam, peace be to him, what did he do for women? He freed them, gave them property rights, gave them autonomy over their own lives as sovereign individuals, gave them freedom of choice in matters of marriage. Freed them from the tyranny of the pre-Islamic Age of Ignorance. As much as could practically be done within the culture and time.

Hmm.. "Gave" is maybe the wrong word. He merely elucidated their God-given rights.

Even aspects that appear discriminatory are simply pragmatic. Frankly, to protect women from the sometimes lustful and violent excesses of men. Neither women nor men are perfect. But they are different. Even in the evils they commit.

But it is not a surprise Churchill held such beliefs. After all, he learnt them from some of the people most ignorant of Islam. Specifically from "Muslims". People who almost immediately after the death of the prophet, split the pure religion. Into Shi'a and Sunni and more. Schisms from rational, pure universalist monotheism. Now women in much of the Muslim world are more subjugated than under the Quraishi.

  18. Even some of the most intelligent people of green and pleasant Albion have said the most absurd things about Islam.

In Alan Turing's famous paper "Computing Machinery and Intelligence", he discusses theological objections to machine consciousness. Verbatim:

"How do Christian regards the Moslem view that women have no souls?"

Wait... what? Where does he get this little gem from?

Even the highest orders of genius are capable of holding the most ridiculous and ignorant opinions. The touching beauty of human imperfection.

Anyway, my point, Aangirfan, is this:

In your quest for the truth, you must consider the source of your information.

You, for instance, learn more about the news by knowing intimately who is selling it.

Interestingly, Islamic scholars are pioneers in the area of pragmatic epistemology and the phylogeny of knowledge. The Hadiths, accounts of incidents in the life of the prophet, are often given reliability ratings of the basis of their line of transmission and the estimated honesty and reliability of each person reporting them. This is why the Sunnah of Al-Bukhari is held in high regard.

Among non-religious works, Jamshid Tehrani's research is noteworthy: informational evolution and phylogeny. Look up the cladistic tree of ATU 333. This sort of work is just the beginning. An understanding of our place in an evolving informational continuum. The work of God.

Professor of Islamic theology questioned the very existence of Muhammad

German academic Muhammad Sven Kalisch subjected Islam to the same scrutiny that religious scholars bring to the study of Christianity and Judaism – and doubted the very existence of the prophet!

Kalisch was not the first nor the only scholar to question Muhammad's existence (Professor Karl-Heinz Ohlig is another). Kalisch is no longer a Muslim.

My point is: beware your sources.

They may well have an agenda other than the truth.

This is certainly true of Robert Spencer, Voltaire and pretty much anyone on the mainstream (read: Zionist) media.

In the cases of Churchill and Turing that I mentioned, it may be simple benign ignorance, without ulterior intent.

The only worthwhile source above was the comment with the link, A Koran fragment from the University of Tübingen. It pretty much renders moot the rest.

But factual and objective information is often considered uninteresting compared to abject preconceived bigotry.

And, Aangirfan, I really think you would find it very instructive to research who owns and controls what media: TV, publishing, news and movies. And, yes, the BBC. Maybe publish a summary here.

    1. Regarding purveyors of religion, you should definitely beware your sources. They certainly have an agenda other than truth. The book of Genesis begins with two different and contradictory creation myths, which were derived from Babylonian myths, which were derived from Sumerian myths. That is also true of the biblical flood myths. There was no walking talking Yahweh, no Adam, Eve, talking snake, or magical fruit trees, no fall of man, no need for a "savior", no global flood.

There are hundreds of contradictions, absurdities and falsehoods in the Bible and the Quran. Religion in general and the Abrahamic religions in particular are founded upon lies backed by violence.

    2. hi Infidel,

Thanks for the links. I was hoping there might be some worthwhile content. But it was just sort of Ambrose Bierce without the scintillating wit.

The idea of monotheism certainly predates the first written account of Genesis. Probably even the extant Hebrew spoken tradition. The idea possibly inspired the cult of Akhenaten, which was systematically erased after his in death favour of the established polytheistic religion of Egypt.

Infidel, it's possible to twist, mock and maliciously misinterpret pretty much anything, Particularly texts from a prescientific era.

I don't want to jump to conclusions here, but I guess you're an atheist.

Atheists tend to be very literal minded. Like children, but without the imagination.

The sort of people who criticize the ridiculous physics of, say, Battlestar Galactica, and completely miss what is important:
stories, archetypal themes, the interplay of good and evil, the quest for truth, the redemptive power of love.

People with eyes who cannot see.
People concerned with only with surface detail.

Don't worry. I was like that once.

Anyway, ignoring religious texts, do you believe it is at least theoretically possible to synthesize a sentience and the world it perceives?

Do you believe it is possible to preserve a sentient informational construct for an indefinite period of time? An eternity, if you will.

(It would help if you have a passing familiarity with Shannon and Nyquist.)

Now let's say, for the purposes of argument, that you were intelligently synthesized. Let's just say. You're capable of hypothetical thought, right?

Do you believe your Maker would look more kindly on systematic and rational inquiry, or flippant mockery?

Whether you know it or not, you are a gambler. And you have laid your wager.

Nonetheless, atheists are also here for a purpose. And their creative thoughts also gently guided.

In a world filled with liars, atheists can also speak truth. Even if sometimes only in allegorical form.

      ---
"Mum, listen to me. Listen carefully. You're wrong about what happens after you die. It's not an eternity of nothingness."
      ---

And after the world's end, it will be judged who better sought truth.

  23. This is most certainly the case historically. Today, Islam has been rehijacked by the talmudic zionist elite and their political cronies who are determined it remains tarred and feathered as a violent religion while pretending it is a religion of peace. This is how it remains discredited - media comparison & contrast repeated hundreds of times per day across the cable and satellite networks in bloody images and derogatory headlines.
The very same people have smashed The Roman Catholic Church as a potentially threatening point of resistance using infiltration, pedophilia, sex and money to compromise & pervert it to ruin and now the same pressures are applied exploiting other weaknesses that Islam manifests - the old Judaic principle of eye for eye, tooth for tooth, as the extremists supported by their talmudic zionist paymasters, ensure it remains inherently divided against itself, while violence and aggression scandalise its reputation worldwide.
