JESUS AND CHRISTIANITY

What evidence is there that Jesus was (A) an opponent of the Establishment, or (B) a tool of the establisment?

1. Jesus shared meals with outcasts, which annoyed the Pharisees, strong supporters of the laws and traditions of the Jewish people.

Jesus said: "Be on your guard against the Doctors of the Law, who like to walk about in robes and be saluted in the streets... who devour the livelihood of widows..."

2. Jesus talked of 'good people' being his 'brothers' and 'sisters'.

3. Jesus urged people to 'renounce self'.

Jesus said: "If anyone wishes to be the first, he must be the last of all and the servant of all."

Jesus said: "Why do you call me good? No one but God is good."

4. Jesus said: "How difficult it is for men of wealth to enter the Kingdom of God."

We are a fan of Jesus.
David and Jonathan.

Jesus appears to attack the Old Testament.

Jesus said: "Turn the other cheek."

In Numbers 31:14, 17, 18: "Moses said 'Kill all the women and boys, but keep the girls for yourselves."

Moses, if he ever existed, was obviously a child killer.

The Bible is like the curate's egg - good in parts.

The Bible, like the Koran, is a very human attempt to describe what life is all about.

In Matthew 5:1,2  "Jesus went up into a mountain: and when he was ready, his disciples came to him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying...."

This is the Sermon on the Mount.

In Luke 6:17,20: "Jesus stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people...came to hear him.. And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples and said..."

This is the Sermon on the Mount, but, it is in the plain.

Luke seems to be making it up.

..

The Old Testament is endless contradictions.

In Isaiah 14:21 we read that people should "Kill the children because of the sins of their fathers."

In Deuteronomy 24:16 we read "Children should not be put to death for the sins of their fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin."

In Jeremiah 13:14 we read: "Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not, but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling."

In Psalms 145:9 we read: "The Lord is good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works."

A List Of Biblical Contradictions

Christians killing Chsristians.

In Jeremiah 32:27 we read "God is all powerful."

In Judges 1:19 we read: "God is not all powerful."

Biblical Contradictions

Many of the people who leave comments on this blog have been brainwashed by fundamentalist Christians.

Sensible Christians "consider some passages of the Bible (e.g. those referring to slavery, burning some hookers alive, forcing rape victims to marry their rapists, raping female prisoners of war, etc.) as not being valid today, as immoral, and against the will of God.

"They differentiate among various homosexual and heterosexual sex practices, treating some (rape, prostitution, temple sex rituals) as immoral and some (consesual activity within committed relationships) as positive."

The early Christians had various theories about Jesus.

Jesus did not become 'officially' divine until 325 AD.

This was when the Council of Nicaea, set up by the Roman emperor Constantine, decided that Jesus, like many Roman Emperors, was divine.

Most scholars agree that Jesus did actually exist.

"Amy-Jill Levine states that ... 'there is a consensus of sorts on the basic outline of Jesus' life' in that most scholars agree that Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist, debated Jewish authorities on the subject of God, performed some healings, gathered followers...."[68]

Christ myth theory - Wikipedia

In The Historical Jesus; Five Views, Robert Price suggests that the story of Jesus in the Gospels contains borrowings from pagan mythology.

In the same book, Professor Luke Timothy Johnson lists all the things historians can know with 'a very high degree of probability' about Jesus - Jesus taught in parables, Jesus healed people, Jesus taught about God's Kingdom.

The Recliner Commentaries: Five views of the historical Jesus

Osiris's resurrection is celebrated on the third day

Does the story of Jesus show strong parallels to myths of dying and rising gods?

Apparently not.

"Early in the 20th century, Gerald Massey argued that there are similarities between the Egyptian dying-and-rising god myths and Jesus.[22]

"Massey stated that the biblical references to Herod the Great were based on the myth of 'Herrut' the evil hydra serpent."

However, the existence of Herod the Great "can be well established without reliance on Christian sources."[23]

In other words, Herod was not Herrut.

"The overall scholarly consensus is that while the examples provided often involve death of the deity, they do not generally involve resurrection of the same deity.[2]

"Eddy and Boyd state that upon careful analysis, it turns out that there is often either no death, no resurrection or no god in the examples used to construct each of the examples in the category.[17]

"Jonathan Z. Smith, a scholar of comparative religions, writes the category is 'largely a misnomer based on imaginative reconstructions and exceedingly late or highly ambiguous texts.'[1][37]

Mithraism

Is Christianity similar to the Roman religion Mithraism?

Early Christian authors "took an extremely negative view of Mithraism" and saw their practices "as evil copies of Christian practices."[209]

Stanley porter notes that "Mithraism only reached Asia minor in the latter part of the first century, after the basic elements of the gospels were in place, and hence could not have influenced the essential elements of the gospels."[211]

www.ellenwhite.info

David Strauss (1808–1874), a German theologian, believed that Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist and that the encounter had influenced the views of Jesus.

However, Strauss believed that "the additional elements of the sky opening, the dove descending on Jesus as the Holy Spirit, etc. were subsequent miraculous embellishments by the authors of the gospels intended to emphasize the importance of a key event in the life of Jesus."[220] [225]

Strauss believed that the divine spirit was embedded in all of humanity.

In 1890, Sir James George Frazer published the first edition of The Golden Bough which showed "the shared elements of religious belief."

Frazer himself believed that Jesus existed.[235]

William Benjamin Smith (1850–1934) argued for a symbolic interpretation of the stories about Jesus.

Smith argues that in the parable of the Jesus and the rich young manthere never was a young man, and the young man symbolizes the nation of Israel.[254]

"Free will allows us to choose to continue to influence reality with our memories (Ego)

Or we can choose to accept our identity as projections of the Father and consciously co-create with the Father...

"Quantum physics has proven that the belief of the observer is translated in the test tube.

"Each energy packet can become particle or remain as energy depending on the expectation of the observer.

"This is known as the observer effect.

"Positive Thinking is Merely Scratching the Surface of Truth: We must be attentive to intuition

"As the Quantum physicist has discovered, our beliefs come true.

"This is the key to the kingdom which we forgot shortly after birth.

"Our parents probably forgot that we are connected, just as they are connected to the One.

"In this same way, Herod of Judea forgot that he and Jesus were both born of the Creator/Father/One.

"Herod attempted to kill Jesus by ordering all the newborn children of Bethlehem to be slain.

"But, since Joseph was attentive to his intuition, (for intuitive training go to Andrea Hess...) he was warned by the One/Creator/Father to flee to Egypt.

"Jesus was safe during His childhood. They only returned to Israel after they were told of the death of Herod.

"When Jesus was grown, he fasted for 40 days and 40 nights before beginning His ministry... a month of fasting will cause an altered state of reality.

"When Jesus was tempted by His Ego to turn the stones into bread, He reminded the tempter that 'man does not live by bread alone.' Thus He determined to finish his vision quest...

"Jesus told the Ego to get behind Him because it is only the One/Source/Creator who would be served.

"To accept our identity as co-Creators with the One, we must put our finite Egos behind us.

"Our Subconscious mind is connected to our Higher Mind and to the Creator/One/Source.

"The Ego is only connected to our conscious minds and helps keep us involved in this physical world.

"But, at the same time, we must learn to influence our Subconscious Minds in order to create our reality..."

Who was Jesus?

John Dominic Crossan, professor emeritus at De Paul University Chicago, is an Irish-American religious scholar.

(John Dominic Crossan Web Site)

Crossan "believes that less than 20 percent of what we read in the Gospels are original sayings of Jesus."

Crossan does not dispute that Jesus Christ really lived.

Independent accounts "prove that in ancient times even the opponents of Christianity never doubted the historicity of Jesus." (Quoted in Josh McDowell, Evidence That Demands a Verdict, vol. 1 (Nashville: Nelson, 1979), 87.)

Crossan sees Jesus as a healer and man of great wisdom. (John Dominic Crossan - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia )

The fundamentalists are no fun

According to Crossan, Jesus's teachings would have upset the elite.

According to Crossan, "The Kingdom of God comes not at some future time

"You cannot point out the sign of its coming

"The Kingdom of God comes not at some special site

"You cannot point out the place of its coming

"The Kingdom of God is already here, among you, now."

Egyptians, by Veralyn Adeyinka

In a review of a Crossan book, Peter Broady wrote (Review of The Essential Jesus by John Dominic Crossan.):

"One can only wonder what the Jewish peasant who spoke of the poor and destitute as ‘blessed’ along with the ‘peacemakers’ and ‘those that hunger and thirst after justice’, and said that it is nearly impossible for wealth and the ‘kingdom of God’ to coexist, would think of our unimaginably wealthy country where the gap between rich and poor has reached heights unimaginable in his time..."

The following is fiction:

James: How was your trip to India to meet the great guru?

Peter: I enjoyed India. But I've come to the conclusion that the only good guru is a humble guru. The guru I met in India was sitting on a throne and claiming to understand everything about the universe. He did not look in good health. He may be what you call a 'theomaniac': someone who gets very easily irritated and doesn't like being contradicted.

James: You are a fan of humility.

Peter: I am. Think of Jesus on the cross saying, "My God, why have you forsaken me?" That seems to be Jesus admitting that he's not perfect. He seems to be admitting that some things have gone wrong.

James: You don't think Jesus was perfect?

Peter: Jesus said, "Why do you call me good? No one is good except God." He also said that he was not seeking glory for himself.

James: That suggests that Jesus was capable of making some mistakes.

Peter: Exactly. Remember that Jesus wanted people to be humble, like little children. He wanted people to see themselves as servants. Jesus washed people's feet.

James: What about Jesus when he was criticising some of the Jewish leaders and calling them names? In Matthew, Jesus says, "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites!... You blind fools!... You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to escape being sentenced to hell?"

Peter: This seems to conflict with Jesus's teaching about not judging people; and about seeing your own faults; about turning the other cheek and about not resisting evil.

James: What do think Jesus thought about God and life after death?

Peter: I think Jesus used parables because it's not possible to explain all these things very easily in words. When Jesus talked about being at one with the Father, that could mean many different things. I think Jesus believed that we can all be one with the divine.

James: So your guru must be humble.

Peter: The guru must teach that we should be humble, kindly and flexible in our thinking. But, the guru must himself be humble, kindly and flexible.

  1. There is no real historical evidence of Jesus.
It's all wishful thinking at best and control propaganda at worst.
I really love the way simple-minded people are taken in by the rather effeminate pictures of a tall handsome smiling "Jesus". Very Hollywood.

    1. The list of authors denouncing the myth of Jesus Christ continues to grow

      No Meek Messiah: Michael Paulkovich
An introductory article from the author
      ...
Most historians hold the position I had once harbored as true, being a Bible skeptic but not a Christ mythicist. I had maintained that the Jesus person probably existed, having fantastic and impossible stories later foisted upon his earthly life, passed by oral tradition then recorded many decades after Jesus lived.

After exhaustive research for my first book, I began to perceive both the brilliance and darkness from history. I discovered that many early Christian fathers believed with all pious sincerity their savior never came to earth—or when he did, it was Star-Trekian style, beamed down pre-haloed and fully-grown, sans transvaginal egress. Moreover I expose many other startling bombshells in my book No Meek Messiah.

I embarked upon one exercise to revive research into Jesus-era writers who should have recorded Christ tales, but did not. John Remsburg enumerated forty-one "silent" historians in his book The Christ (1909). I dedicated months of research to augment Remsburg's list, finally tripling his count. In No Meek Messiah I provide a list of 126 writers who should have recorded something of Jesus, with exhaustive references.

Perhaps the most bewildering "silent one" is the mythical super-savior himself, Jesus the Son of God ostensibly sent on a suicide mission to save us from the childish notion of "Adam's Transgression" as we learn from Romans 5:14. The Jesus character is a phantom of a wisp of a personage who never wrote anything. So, add one more: 127.

13 Later that same day, Jesus left the house and went down to the shore, 2-3 where an immense crowd soon gathered. He got into a boat and taught from it while the people listened on the beach. He used many illustrations such as this one in his sermon: Matthew 13:1-3 TLB

“30 And throw the useless servant out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
31 “But when I, the Messiah, shall come in my glory, and all the angels with me, then I shall sit upon my throne of glory. 32 And all the nations shall be gathered before me. And I will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats, 33 and place the sheep at my right hand, and the goats at my left.
34 “Then I, the King, shall say to those at my right, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, into the Kingdom prepared for you from the founding of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you fed me; I was thirsty and you gave me water; I was a stranger and you invited me into your homes; 36 naked and you clothed me; sick and in prison, and you visited me.’
37 “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Sir, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you anything to drink? 38 Or a stranger, and help you? Or naked, and clothe you? 39 When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?’
40 “And I, the King, will tell them, ‘When you did it to these my brothers, you were doing it to me!’ 41 Then I will turn to those on my left and say, ‘Away with you, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his demons. 42 For I was hungry and you wouldn’t feed me; thirsty, and you wouldn’t give me anything to drink; 43 a stranger, and you refused me hospitality; naked, and you wouldn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’
44 “Then they will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and not help you?’
45 “And I will answer, ‘When you refused to help the least of these my brothers, you were refusing help to me.’
46 “And they shall go away into eternal punishment; but the righteous into everlasting life.” Matthew 25:30-46 TLB

10 His disciples came and asked him, “Why do you always use these hard-to-understand illustrations?”
11 Then he explained to them that only they were permitted to understand about the Kingdom of Heaven, and others were not.
12-13 “For to him who has will more be given,” he told them, “and he will have great plenty; but from him who has not, even the little he has will be taken away. That is why I use these illustrations, so people will hear and see but not understand.
14 “This fulfills the prophecy of Isaiah:
‘They hear, but don’t understand; they look, but don’t see! 15 For their hearts are fat and heavy, and their ears are dull, and they have closed their eyes in sleep, 16 so they won’t see and hear and understand and turn to God again, and let me heal them.’
But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear. 17 Many a prophet and godly man has longed to see what you have seen and hear what you have heard, but couldn’t. Matthew 13:10-17 TLB

Thank you Father, I love you.

  2. Also, for strange, try reading a bit of the Jefferson Bible, a bit of Lao Tse, and a bit of Socrates (via Plato) on an alternating daily basis. Amazing!

All are free as downloads at various online sites. The wise are wisely wise for us.

(The "Jefferson Bible" actually was a translation by Thomas Jefferson. He was a Deist and did not believe in miracles, so all it contains is the words of Jesus. It is an interesting way to re-know the Jesus everyone thinks they already know.)

  8. Interesting article. I think the issue is likely often context and time.

As an example raised in the video, Judas hung himself. Later the rotten corpse fell over and burst open. Two different people see two different things both true.

Do you sow a harvest or reap it? Do you punish or reward? If someone was about to kill or seriously harm me would I act in defense or turn the other cheek? Does that mean never to turn the other cheek?

When I get visits from J.W.'s or Mormons I invariably ask if they operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. They never do. The New Testament discusses the Holy Spirit at length and unless you genuinely receive the helper - the Holy Spirit, the truth of the things of God will not be understood by those of you who are lost.

  10. I'm a fan of Jesus.

God loves us and is with us to defeat evil - the enemy. This happened once and for all on a cross and is being bought in by, and is, light, justice and truth. It's what we could all do with – more of - I say.

Gospel conversation could be over with as little as: open a bible, seek and read, and seek, seek some more... see?

I respect your rampages into non-material realms ...could be conspiracy-or-what bombardments. You go leaping across wide swaths. There's some explosions, good and bad. Yikes though, I had to slam the breaks on 'Quiz Show'. It doesn't work. Straw men. The joke is, it works in God's favour when discovering the obvious reconciliation to the God who is, and is all like Jesus. Ain't no contra.

I'll give you a contradiction, Proverbs 26:4-5. Answer not a fool according to his folly, Lest thou be like to him... and Answer a fool.... Lest he be wise in his own eyes. (Young's Literal).

  11. On... more than most, I squirm and shudder, at evangelicals comments. God says they're family and that's that. Theology shaped up Augustine's overreaction to Pelagius tumbling through grabbing Greek, yes Pagan, and the whole mish-mash is church history. It can be unpacked, discerned. Not for now. Last days eye-off-the-ball spectator bible reading the bible gabbing is the pit. Suckered in in the promising 70's Jesus Movement any redeeming aspects are lost, tainted by christian misfortune-telling. Horrible. Talk of over yonder as an excuse is also misplaced (allowing for occasions). We're here to pray, to stand, with ALL co-belligerents – people of peace - in exposing the truth. Jesus movement. Not watching movie-head Futurism. Late comers at that. Preterism, Historicism and the prophetic visions interpretations also have more or less to say. Reason with The Holy Spirit and tradition. Read with this. So it goes, so it goes... from bible to earthquake, to a verse from Isaiah or a mooon, all morphed into today's... times. It's a conspiracy that the enemy sowed this. We have it mapped.

Regardless if you (...they do) believe, God has exhaustive foreknowledge, there's no discernible benefit, no Kingdom action, juz-chitter chatter about nout, while doing nout, all about the enemy prowling around, while little ol'aangirfan's shining some light. 12. On Gays. What did Paul see and – or if you want - what was happening for Leviticus. These particular (or general?) sexual practices, experiences were not the best (sin). But what did they see? What's God saying. Evangelicals have allowed, (canny stop), a well established position to open up. It's done, the dam broke. UK and US, the number is higher than might be apparent. (I'm not saying there's lotsa gays in church, or anyone for that matter, just non-trad-on-gay believers). There is a debate but the tide firmly turned, is growing. Calvinism next (with respect) and the baggage it created. From Islam to Israel. Evangelicals across the spectrum were at best a counter-punch to the attack, through to the compromised and to them utterly demonized lot. GIN: globalist illuminati new world order lot.

And jumping with outrage at abuse (comments) always yawnyawn like to couple up and go, '...anyways gays wrong and the bible 'n all say so'. Classic enemy work. The freedom to say gay-no is diminishing and they pump chemicals-pop 'n puerile, promote poison for sex. (Oh hear Freeway Ricky Ross on Jones the other night – and for all sorts of reasons).

“First they came for the...” God hates homophobia.

Dem banging-on dismissal that the bible can't be read another way. Can, can't, can, can't, IS... Please leave it alone yo crimbos, stop bringing-it-up. We got your view, why use any old excuse to make-THIS-point again. Ah but you gotta tell us, “...but it does say it's wrong in the bible”. What say? What? And what saith God? Anyone joining your side? Do you care? Enough now. Please. Makes me... oh have mercy, surely God, wanna vomit.

The battle is on, this post is food. At times it's harsh and dismissive without sufficient cause. I don't mind. Neither does God. You do the world and the church a service. Mark

  18. Jesus Christ knew perfectly well that the scribes and pharisees were rewriting the law to suit themselves and make it impossible for people to find salvation from their depressing human state. He called them whited-sepulchres and hypocrites, warning us not to imitate them. of course, you probably would try to find a rational explanation to the Holy Shroud of Turin and the many Eucharistic miracles which indicate between them Christ's blood group. There are testimonials to Christ's authenticity but all you want to do is present a reductionist view. That's your privilege but to many of us Christ is the Son of God who has brought the message of salvation to those who believe on Him. We find the evidence convincing. You don't and that is your free will to choose. Just don't blame Him when you die and the life of your soul depends on His mercy. God help you.

  19. I have noticed that those who disbelieve in the deity of Jesus Christ seem to be very "evangelical" and even fanatical in seeking to disprove his divinity. The problem starts when we put our faith in ourselves, relying on our intellect (no matter how sharp it may be) and our own sense of morality/righteousness ....My friend...this only ever leads to arrogance and pride and spiritual blindness. We are all FLAWED!!! I absolutely know that I am...even if you don't. I will put my faith in Him..and only Him.

  20. Of course all this analysis is done on the basis of dependence on the accuracy of other persons' translations, which makes it rather pointless. Even contemporary experts in ancient languages cannot possibly recapture all the nuances that the words would have had two millennia ago. The saving "Grace" we are left with is the admonition that hewing to the letter kills [the humanity of which we are capable?] but the Spirit--exhibited by the numerous accounts of Jesus's actions vis-à-vis others, which demonstrate the meaning of love, experiencing which, as practitioners and recipients, is the whole purpose of our existence--makes alive.

  21. There is alot in the Bible that I dont understand...and which appears to be paradoxical.....especially the Old Testament.

That does not mean though that the Bible is not Gods written word...nor that it is incorrect in any way.

There is alot that I do not know...

And sometimes when new information is added our understanding deapens and apparant "paradoxes" disappear.....

There is though one thing which I am certain of; and that is that the Jesus Christ of the HOLY Bible was/is the prophesized Saviour of humanity.

Like it or not...but the entire "bedrock" that Christianity is built on, is that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of the living God....NOT that he was some "new age" guru/enlightened teacher/prophet etc.

The Jesus of the Bible is identified clearly as the eternal Son of God. Whats more that is what he specifically claimed to be!

He said for example that he had the power to forgive sins.

He also claimed that the very reason for his physical incarnation was to SAVE us all from the consequences of sin.

He identified Himself very clearly as divinity...that is why the pharisees wanted to kill Him for blasphemy...

If the Bible is correct then God the Father literally stepped into His own creation and lived as a physical man (the Son) for the sole purpose of laying down His life - in order to save us from the consequences of our sins.

He literally died for us....and then was raised up from the dead.

Now either you believe and accept this or you dont....either you believe Him....or you dont....either accept that He was who he said he was...or you dismiss Him as a misguided fool or a deranged lunatic.

    You're call.......

  22. The book of Genesis begins with two different and contradictory creation myths which were derived from Babylonian myths which were derived from Sumerian myths. Read The Pre-biblical Protagonists Behind Genesis' Eve: Shamhat and Inanna (Ishtar) of the Epic of Gilgamesh:

    In a Nutshell Summary:

I understand Eden's Eve is a fictional character, a fusion of at least six different characters appearing in earlier Mesopotamian myths: (1) Shamhat/Ukhat of the Epic of Gilgamesh; (2) Inanna/Ishtar of the Dumuzi Myths; (3) Nin-Ti of Dilmun; (4) Gishzida, (5) Dumuzi, and (6) Adapa of the Adapa and the Southwind Myth. The focus here is Shamhat and Inanna.

    http://www.bibleorigins.net/EveasShamhatoftheEpicofGilgamesh.html

There was no walking talking Yahweh, no Adam, no Eve, no talking snake, no magical fruit trees, no fall of man, and therefore no need for Jesus to die for the remission of sins. Romans 5:12 (Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned) is false.

There are hundreds of contradictions in the Bible, as well as bogus prophecies, absurdities, and historical and scientific inaccuracies. The Bible is not the word of god, it is an anthology of falsehoods written to enrich and empower priests and rulers.

  23. As for Jesus being declared Divine around 325AD, I would point you to:

    1. The Gospel of John. The whole book is about his Deity and it was written around 90AD. "In the beginning was the Word (Logos) and the word was with God (Theos) and the Word was God (Theos)... and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us..."

    2. The writings Of Paul which were written earlier than John's Gospel contain passages that declare his Deity.

    3. Pliny the Younger -sent to prosecute Christians- wrote a letter to Roman Emperor Trajan around 111-113AD in part reads "...they (Christians) were accustomed to meet on a fixed day before dawn and sing responsively a hymn to Christ as to a god...."

  24. I think few critics (arm chair theologians) of the Old Testament understand the concept of the judgment of God. God is good to all, but He also judges and punishes sin. The ancient Canaanites were punished and dispossessed. They were given over 100 years to repent.

Other times God forgives when the offender is contrite before Him. In the Book of Jonah... God sends the unwilling prophet to the enemy of Israel.. Nineveh. Much to the dismay of Jonah, God pardons Nineveh because they repented.

In this post modern, morally ambiguous world judgement, repentance, sin, transgression, commandments, atonement, etc. are unpopular words.

Yet, everyone believes that there are moral wrongs; The Late Christopher Hitchens believed it was Christianity, his brother Peter believes it is the lack thereof.

As a Christian, I can absolutely judge pedophilia as an immoral act (against God) and therefore wrong (sin, transgression) -even if the child supposedly likes it- or if it becomes fashionable and the New World Order declares it legal.

But if this thing be true, and the tokens of virginity be not found for the damsel: Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die.--Dt.22:20-21

Whenever we read ... the cruel and tortuous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize humankind. Murder in the Bible

The act of murder is rampant in the Bible. In much of the Bible, especially the Old Testament, there are laws that command that people be killed for absurd reasons such as working on the Sabbath, being gay, cursing your parents, or not being a virgin on your wedding night. In addition to these crazy and immoral laws, there are plenty of examples of God's irrationality by his direct killing of many people for reasons that defy any rational explanation such as killing children who make fun of bald people, and the killing of a man who tried to keep the ark of God from falling during transport. There are also countless examples of mass murders commanded by God, including the murder of women, infants, and children.

The following passages are a very small percentage of the total passages approving of murder in the Bible. They are divided here into three parts: 1) Capital Punishment Crimes, 2) God's Murders for Stupid Reasons, 3) Murdering Children, and 4) Miscellaneous Murders. This list is long, but it barely scratches the surface of all the murders approved of in the Bible.

    2. The God of the Bible

It is a little known fact among lay Christians that the God of the systematic theologians and the God portrayed in the Bible is not completely compatible. The systematic theologians say that God is all-good, all-merciful, all-knowing and all powerful. What does the Bible say?

      The Bible says God:

      - Commands Atrocities
      - Commands Revenge
      - Commands Human Sacrifice
      - Condones The Murder of Children
      - Uses Deception
      - Is Hot Headed God
      - Cheats

We can summarized God's attributes according to the Bible as a vengeful, murderous, hot-blooded, deceitful and forgetful (?) being. A far cry from the loving, merciful, eternal, perfect, omnipotent, omniscient and immutable God of the systematic theologians.

As if people like me read this and are shocked or dismayed. As though the Bible is so difficult because God is what this implies. As though we become awkward and apologetic. I can barely read it because it's nonsense. Got the point though. Actually, I could feed you much more challenging passages (e.g. 'Cretans are always liars'), but even these show a God who hates what you portray but hey, I can understand why you write this. Here's a suppose:
'God knows all things present, including His own heart. Surely He would have known His own anger and would have been perfectly able to predict His own behavior, thereby relenting on the destruction of Jerusalem. Of course, it is most probable that the people of Israel were praying; and the Lord heard those prayers and relented, but that isn't what the text says.

The only explanation I can offer is that these verses are portraying God as both judgmental and compassionate. Furthermore, God's compassion is demonstrated in His relenting to destroy Jerusalem, which God surely knew would be the future place of Christ's crucifixion, which may have had something to do with the Lord not destroying it.' (Matt Slick).

    1. Identity

by Professor Revilo P. Oliver (Liberty Bell, June 1989)

We all feel a certain sympathy for the cult called "British Israel" or, in this country, "Identity." It is an attempt to make Christianity innocuous by claiming that Yahweh's rabble of marauders, thieves, and swindlers, whose depredations are exalted in the "Old Testament," were our Aryan and probably Anglo-Saxon ancestors. That makes it possible to claim that the Jesus of the "New Testament" was not a Jew.

      The Lost Ten Tribes

by Professor Revilo P. Oliver (private correspondence, December 1989)

THE BRITISH ISRAEL nonsense has its origins in the Jews' myth about the "lost ten tribes," who were the Sheenies who had scattered throughout the civilized world and set up their colonies wherever the natives were sufficiently industrious and prosperous to be fleeced. In the Middle Ages there were all sort of tales about where the ten tribes were living, and this drivel was given a great impetus in the time of Cromwell, when a Kike turned up with the story that he had found in Peru a tribe of Indians who understood and spoke Hebrew and so must be descendants of the "ten tribes." This eventually produced Joseph Smith's variety of Christianity, which I mentioned in the December 1989 issue of Liberty Bell.

The Puritans of the Commonwealth and perhaps Cromwell himself (unless he was cynically repaying the Yids who had financed his revolution) were suckers for propaganda to the effect that the kindred peoples, God's Race and the English, if united, would rule the world, but so far as I know, the specific statement that the "ten tribes" had migrated to Britain was first made by a Huguenot refugee in England named Abbadie around 1688; the only edition of his book, Le triomphe de la providence et de la religion, known to me was published at Amsterdam in 1723, but may not be the first.

The "British Israel Movement" was begun by an English lunatic, Richard Brothers, who, in 1793, discovered that he was God's Nephew, because God = Jesus, and he was the son of Jesus's brother, Jakob (James); there were, of course, some chronological difficulties in fixing his birthday, but with God all things are possible. Brothers, therefore, was by his glorious heredity, the "Prince of the Jews" and the destined ruler of the world, and therefore the true King of Great Britain. George III did not agree, and Brothers accordingly was locked up for a while, but there were in England persons no more intelligent than he, including at least one an influential Whig in the Parliament; they procured his release and censored his ravings so that they could be published without exciting derision. The only one I have seen is entitled A Correct Account of the Invasion and Conquest of this Island by the Saxons,...the Descendants of the Greater Part of the Ten Tribes.

This kind of hogwash, doubtless financed by the Yids, was especially popular as justifying the admission of undisguised Kikes to full British citizenship, and as fostering the comforting dream of British-Jewish dominion over the world, as decreed by old Yahweh.

  28. For many people, the Biblical Jesus story is the absolute truth. For many others, it and the rest of the Bible is a tissue of lies from start to finish, nothing more than a control arm of the bad guys who have oppressed humanity from the start.

I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. What if a man we know today as Jesus - even if that wasn't his real name - existed and lived a life exemplary of God, which by its very definition would be in direct opposition to all the corrupt elites? What if, following the vagaries of human nature, 'Jesus' the wayshower later came to be worshipped as God Himself - entirely against his own mission and wishes? What if the 'Jesus' stories that followed were in any case first written decades after he walked the earth? And what if those Bible stories were then retranslated, rewritten, embellished and redacted over the succeeding 2000 years in order to suit the purposes of the very elites that were so threatened by 'Jesus's teachings?

Sounds like a good plan by the bad guys. And looks like it's working.

And what if God then sent us the truth of all this, so we can make our own choices in knowledge? What if, for example, the Sermon on the Mount actually was grounded in spiritual truth and logic, and revealed the power that resides in every one of us? Makes sense to me.

This is how the Sermon on the Mount actually looked. Far more here: http://www.phoenixsourcedistributors.com/PJ_02.pdf and here: http://www.phoenixsourcedistributors.com.

"Blessed are they who are rich in spirit and recognize the truth, for life belongs to them.

"Blessed are they who lament, for they shall see the truth therein and shall be
    comforted.

"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for truth and knowledge, for they shall be satisfied and given wisdom.

"Blessed are they who obey the Law of nature and The Creation, for they live
according to the plan of The Creation.

"Blessed are they who have a clear conscience and who listen unto their conscience in truth, for they need not fear.

"Blessed are they who believe in The Creation, for they do not follow false teachings.

"Blessed are the righteous for nature is subject unto them.

"Blessed art thou when men shall revile you because of our teachings and because of me, persecute you and falsely speak evil against you.

"Rejoice and be comforted, for life and the new life will reward you. Thusly did they persecute the prophets who were here before you.

"You are the salt of the Earth. When the salt loses its savor, with what will you salt? It is of no further use except to be thrown out and stepped on by the people. You are the Light of the world. The city that is on top of a mountain cannot remain hidden. Neither do men light a candle and put it under a bushel, but rather place it on a candlestick, and it gives light to all the people in the house. Let your light so shine before the people so that they will see your good works and recognize the truth of your knowledge.

"Do not think that I have come to dissolve the Law or the prophets, I have not come to dissolve, but to fulfill and to reveal knowledge.

"Thusly I tell you the truth. Until Heaven and Earth vanish, not the smallest letter nor one iota of the Law of Creation and the Laws of nature will disappear, until all has been fulfilled.

"He who violates the smallest Law, or violates the smallest commandment and teaches people falsely will be called the least; but, he who spreads the teachings in truth will be called the greatest and the spirit will thank him. For I say unto you, if your righteousness is not better than that of the Pharisees and scribes, you will not receive the gratitude of the spirit and of life...

  29. Apologies if there's some repetition here:

""You have heard that it has been said to the old: you shall not kill; but he who kills shall be judged by the court. I tell you, be just according to the natural Law of The Creation, so that you will find the judgment in logic and reason with wisdom. Guilty are all who do not act in self defense or according to a given verdict, when they kill or speak and practice evil. Justice according to the natural Laws of The Creation, by Itself, elevates a verdict into logic.

"Do not accommodate or oblige your adversaries when you are right and the judge will probably decide in your favor if thy judge be of honor and without parochialism and bigotry. Verily I say unto you, you will obtain justice only when you find Truth yourself and can make your fellow man understand of it.

    ADULTERY, COHABITATION AND MARRIAGE

"You have heard that it has been said: you should not commit adultery. But I tell you, he who cohabits with someone other than his spouse and practices in the manner of ones bounded in marriage with such commitment, should be caused to terminate such condition and circumstance, for it is unworthy of mankind, abhorrent and filled with lascivious selfishness for physical pleasure without thought or responsibility unto the consequences thereof. It is in creation of unbalance and disharmony for at all times does such activity impinge upon the justness one to another. If ones practice physical pleasures with ones of the same earth species of male or female, thy physical activities will be the carriers of disease and carnal consequences for it is against the natural Laws of The Creation for in thy logical reason it is most obviously incorrect and ill intended.

"If your right or left eye vexes you, pull it out and throw it away from you. It is better that only one of your limbs be ruined and not thy entire body. If a thought beleaguers you, then destroy it and ban it from your mind. It is better to destroy a thought that incites annoyance and subsequent invidious behavior, and not to bring the entire world of thought into an uproar.

"It is further being said: he who separates from his spouse should give him or her a letter of separation. But I tell you, he who leaves his spouse except in the case of adultery (and I care not for physical, legal documentation but those, also, who do dwell in the marriage rituals), causes the marriage to break. He who then marries one who has caused such a break, is then also guilty of committing adultery.

    FALSE SWEARING
"Furthermore, you have also heard that it has been said to the old: you shall not swear falsely, but only keep your oath to God. But I tell you that you shall never swear, neither to Heaven which is infinite and cannot be measured, nor to the Earth for it passes, nor to Jerusalem, for it is not an eternal city and is built by the hand of man. Nor shall you swear on your own head, for you cannot change the color of a single hair which springs forth from the root of the hair. Neither shall ye swear by the memory of a person or thing, for all are fleeting.

"At all times, let your speech be only: yes, yes or no, or no. Whatever is beyond that violates the Laws.

    "AN EYE FOR AN EYE?"
You have heard that it has been said: an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. But I tell you, exercise justice according to the natural Law of Creation, so that you find the verdict in logic and wisdom. Exercise love where it is warranted, and punish where the Law of nature demands punishment. Ye shall, further, remain within the Laws of The Creation in deciding justice for ye may not impinge upon the Laws of The Creation in that which has already been laid down for thy judgment in wisdom.

"Give unto him who asks of you, if the request is made sincerely, and turn thee away from him who asks of you in dishonesty to deprive you of that which is yours in order to elevate his own comfort and status...

  30. "You have also heard that it has been said: you shall love thy neighbor and hate your enemy. But I tell you: exercise love and understanding according to the natural Law of The Creation, so that you act and feel rightly according to justice and logic. Exercise love where it is warranted and despise where the Law of Nature demands punishment.

    PERFECTION OF SPIRIT

"You shall be wise and learn knowledge, for you shall become perfect in spirit as The Creation which created you. You shall train your spirit in the course of incarnations at many, many levels and let your spirit become perfection, thus you can become ONE WITH THE CREATION." And thus it was that Immanuel taught those ones who came unto him in search of wisdom and truth. He continued his teaching thusly: "Watch your piety, practice it before the people with right words, lest you be accused by them of lying, whereby you find no reward from them.

"Choose your words in accord with logic and consider the knowledge and behavior of nature.

"When you give alms, you shall not publicize this as do the hypocrites in the synagogues and in the streets in order to be praised by the people who witness. Verily I say unto you, they have no reward, because they give alms solely for selfish reasons.
    PRAYER

"When you pray, you shall call upon the omnipotence of the spirit, and you should not babble as do the ignorant and selfish, for they think that they are heard because they use many, and grand, words. The spirit of man does not require many words, but it requires the knowledge of its power. Pray, therefore, in knowledge to the almightiness of the spirit that its grandeur and power is infinite.

"If you do not know how to pray directly to the almighty power of the spirit, then use instead something sacred through which you will enter into the spirit. But never be like the ignorant, the hypocrites, and the selfish who revere some "thing" or object believing that the almighty power of the spirit somehow dwells within "it". Ye must be aware that the object is only an opening of the way through which the almighty power of the spirit can be reached within thy self. Therefore, pray as ones that "know", and therefore you should pray thusly:

    A PERFECT PRAYER

"MY SPIRIT, YOU ARE OMNIPOTENT. YOUR NAME IS HOLY. MAY YOUR REALM BE INCARNATE IN ME. MAY YOUR POWER REVEAL ITSELF WITHIN ME, ON EARTH AND IN THE HEAVEN. GIVE ME TODAY MY DAILY BREAD, AND THUS, LET ME RECOGNIZE MY TRANSGRESSIONS AND ERRORS, AND I SHALL RECOGNIZE THE TRUTH. AND DO NOT LEAD ME INTO TEMPTATION AND CONFUSION, BUT DELIVER ME FROM ERROR. FOR YOURS IS THE REALM WITHIN ME AND THE POWER AND THE KNOWLEDGE FOREVER, AMEN.

"For when you pray to your spirit, whatever you request will be given to you if it truly is a desire, for believe with knowledge and you will receive.

    SPIRITUAL POVERTY

"If you believe in false teachings, namely that power and spirit do not dwell within you, then you will be without knowledge and live in spiritual poverty. Though you will receive, now and then, that which you will ask for in your false belief of alienated sanctuaries-idols and gods, you will receive only because of your strong false belief, without knowledge of the real truth. For verily I say to you, blessed are only they who serve the real truth and knowledge, for only they are to receive in honesty.

  31. RULES TO LIVE BY
"Consider carefully the way ye do of your fasting, if you choose of fasting, you shall not appear cross like the hypocrites, for they disguise their faces so that they appear to be something because of their fasting. Verily I say to you, they have no reward inasmuch as they fast only for selfish reasons, for the sake of appearance. But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your countenance, lest you appear before the people with your fasting, but before your own spirit which is hidden. You fast for the sake of your health, the expansion of your spirit and knowledge in wisdom and naught else. Any other reason is self indulgent and for the appearance unto others.

"Ye shall neither amass great treasures on Earth where they are eaten by moths and rust, and where thieves dig for them and steal them. For where your treasure is, there also is your heart, and the true treasure is wisdom and knowledge. When thy Earth journey is complete ye shall be separated from all Earthly treasurers so better you build thy treasures in the realms of Heaven.

"The eye is the light of your body. If your eye is clear then your entire body will be light. Vision goes beyond that which is witnessed by a sighted eye. If your eye is evil, your entire body will be most dark. If the light in you is dark, how great will the darkness be.

"Nobody can serve two masters; either he will hate one and love the other, or he will adhere to one and despise the other. You cannot serve your spirit and the mammon.

"Therefore I say unto you, do care about the knowledge of your spirit, about that which you eat and drink, and care about your body and what you will wear. For, is it not the spirit life and the body more important than all the treasures of the world? The spirit of man which is thirsting for truth and knowledge cannot preserve his earthly life without his body, for they are one.

"Man should take care to increase the knowledge of his spirit, care about the laws of life, and have concern with food, drink and clothing, on behalf of his body which houses his spirit. But ye shall not spend of thy time in concern of storing up great treasures for ye need them not.

"Behold the birds below the sky; they eat the harmful insects, and they have feathers as clothes, yet they have no spirit. They work because this is their duty, and they are fed and clothed by The Creation. Are you not more than they? You can think independently through your free spirit and the great and wondrous thinking mind God has given unto thee, you can work independently, and you can independently prepare food and drink and clothe your body and it is your responsibility to do this for yourself.

"Behold the lilies in the marsh where they grow; they do not work, nor do they spin, yet, verily I say to you, the lilies also fulfill their duty by giving pleasure to the eye with their beauty. I say to you, that Solomon in all his splendor was not clothed as any one of those blossoms. Should you not do so much more for yourself since The Creation sustains and clothes the grass on the field which is here today and thrown into the oven tomorrow?

"The grass fulfills its duty by serving as fodder and fuel; but you, of little faith, are you not much more than the grasses?

"Therefore, take care for the wisdom and knowledge of your spirit, and take care lest you suffer from lack of food, drink, and clothing, for verily I say to you, if you suffer from hunger, thirst and nakedness, wisdom and knowledge are driven away because of worry for thy mind will not find freedom. Neither shall ye neglect your own attention to caring for self in that ye depend upon another to supply these things unto you unless ye are infirm and have an interval of inability to tend of self.

  32. "First and foremost think of the realm of your spirit and its knowledge, and of comforting your body with food and drink and clothing. You must insure respite that the body not be fatigued into illness and you should not remove responsibility from others in that you perceive ye should tend of others who can tend of themselves. You should take care in thy charity that it be worthy in its placement.

"Ye must also care for the following day, for tomorrow will not care for you by itself. It is enough that each day has its own cares so that you should not have to worry about the needs of your physical well being but ye should not dwell nor horde for the supplies will but rot and deteriorate. Take care in moderation and in expected need but do not place such stress on the morrow that ye do not use those things given unto you for the use of today.

Then Jmmanuel asked those gathered with him to consider "Judgment".

"Judge not falsely lest you be falsely judged. For with whatever judgment you judge, so will you be judged, and with whatever measure you measure, so will you be measured. Therefore, judge according to the logic of the Laws of nature, which are from The Creation, for they alone are true and accurate.

"What do you see but the splinter in your brother's eye, and are you not aware of the sliver in thine own eye? You hypocrite, first, pull the sliver out from your own eye, and then see how you can pull the splinter out of your brother's eye.

"First, learn the Laws of nature and of The Creation, their logic, before you judge and want to see the mistakes of your fellow man. First, learn through the Laws of nature and of The Creation your own mistakes, so that you can correct the mistakes of your fellow man.

"You should never give sacred things unto the dogs nor throw your pearls before the swine, lest they step on them with their feet and turn on you and tear you apart. For verily I say unto you, do not throw your spiritual treasures into the dirt and do not waste them on those who are unworthy, for they do not thank you, and they will tear you apart, for their understanding is small and their spirit is weak.
ASK, SEEK, AND THE GOLDEN RULE

"Ask and it shall be given unto you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened unto you. For he who asks of his spirit, receives, and he who seeks through the power of spirit, finds, and he who knocks at the door of his spirit, to him it will be opened.

"Who is there among you who, if his son asked him for bread would give him a stone? Or, if he asked you for a fish would you offer him a serpent? Therefore, if you, even though you are being wicked, can still give your children good gifts, how much more will your spirit give unto you if you request it?" So be it .

"Everything that you would have people do unto you, also do that unto them. That is the law according to the prophets. Enter through the narrow portal, for the portal and the path leading to condemnation are wide, and there are many that walk thereon. And the portal and the path leading to Life and Knowledge are narrow, and there are only a very few that find of it. BEWARE---Beware of false prophets and scribes who come in to you in sheep's clothing, but inside they are like raving wolves, and preach to you humility to shrines, false deities and gods, and preach to you of humility to idols and false teachings.

  33. "BEWARE OF THOSE WHO FORBID YOU ACCESS TO WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE AND TELL YOU TO NOT GO FORTH TO HEAR WHAT PERHAPS IS TRUTH, FOR THEY SPEAK TO YOU ONLY TO ATTAIN POWER OVER YOU AND TO SEIZE YOUR GOODS AND BELONGINGS. ALWAYS SEARCH BENEATH THE COVERINGS TO INSPECT THAT WHICH THEY DO NOT TELL YOU AND FURTHER, CHECK CAREFULLY THOSE THINGS THAT THEY EXTRACT FROM YOU. TRUTH AND WISDOM IN TRUTH ARE GIVEN WITH NO PRICE OF TREASURE NOR POWER OF FORCE.

"You shall recognize these ones by the fruit they bear. Can a person gather grapes from the thorns, and figs from the thistles? Therefore, every good tree brings forth good fruit, but a bad tree brings forth wicked fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth wicked fruit and a bad tree cannot bring forth good fruit. Therefore, by their fruit shall you know them.

"Therefore, he who hears my speech and follows it, is like a smart man who built his house on the rock. And he who hears this speech and does not follow it is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. And when the flash flood rushed forth upon him and the strong winds were blowing against the house, it collapsed and fell. So be it that ye who have wisdom to heed my words shall reap of great unbounded rewards."
And after Jmmanuel had finished his discourse the people were stunned and shocked at his wisdom and knowledge and were surprised at his teachings, for he spoke with total authority and severity of tone, anew teaching and not as the other of their own scribes. They mumbled about among themselves in great wonder at this gentle man who spoke so emphatically of the truth which was laden with reason and logic."

    Sorry for the multiple postings.

  34. The problem for someone who is sceptical about almost everything is that he can no longer see and understand that which is not speculation: there are plenty of signs that Our Blessed Lord is authentic and His time will come to put right the wrongs of many and put an end to the extremely biased one-eyed views expressed here. The problem for conspiracy theorists is that they are bound by the twisted logic of many of their conspiracies. Christ is not a conspiracy. Many of those who represent His teachings have distorted them and misrepresent Him. He brings a Gospel to set us free of stultifying materialism; our over actualised ego-centrism and the destructive self-centredness of our society. Little wonder our society and the one Angirfan portrays is so vile and self-destructive when it is now almost totally ignoring the message of salvation He brings from the very illness which has deformed humanity.
