Kenneth Younger was the son of the James Younger, 2nd Viscount Younger of Leckie and thus came from an upper class background. He was also the uncle of Conservative cabinet minister George Younger, 4th Viscount Younger of Leckie). 

One of Kenneth Younger's sons, Sam, became a BBC executive, and is now Chief Executive of the spooky Charity Commission.
