LUNCH WITH SCARLETT JOHANSSON

Someone claiming to be Scarlett Johansson, the "sexiest woman alive",  has invited me to lunch.

We meet at Restaurant le Meurice overlooking the Tuileries Garden in Paris.

Just 5 weeks after giving birth to a baby girl, Scarlett is looking beautifully slim. 

It is as if she was never pregnant in the first place.

The set menu includes sea bass with fennel and lemon, which suits us both.

I ask Scarlett about her family background.

She tell me that her father is Danish and her mother Melanie Sloan is Jewish and from the Bronx.

Melanie's ancestors were Polish and Russian Jews.

Scarlett tells me that her mother was a film buff.

She says: "I appeared on stage when I was 8 years old, in the play called Sophistry, opposite Ethan Hawke.

"And my film career began at the age of 9."

What about Scarlett's politics?

She tells me that she supports Israel.

And she supports the US military.

Scarlett declines to comment.

And does Scarlet like butterflies?

Yes, she loves butterflies.
