SUPER-RICH SCOTLAND

Scottish Inventions.

The magazine New Scientist suggests that Scotland could be very, very rich if it votes YES for independence on 18 September 2014.

Four futures for an independent Scotland

According to the New Scientist:

1. "If the UK's Trident nuclear submarine base moves from the river Clyde after independence - as Scottish nationalists say it must - then prospecting off the west coast could begin too.

"It is currently banned in case it interferes with naval operations there."

(A west coast oil boom was blocked by the Ministry of Defence.)

No oil exploration on the WEST coast, by order of the military

2. "According to the oil industry, there are between 15 and 24 billion barrels of recoverable oil and gas left under the North Sea.

"About 42bn barrels have been extracted since production began there in 1967.

"Because prices have risen, 24bn barrels could be worth £1.5 trillion – more than the value of all the oil and gas extracted so far.

"'That gives us one of the best financial safety nets of any country in the world,' the Scottish government says."

(There is '£24 trillion' of oil and gas left in the North Sea, according to some estimates)

The Scots invented most things.

3. "Scotland must choose its path carefully.

"There are a number of directions it could decide on:

oil-investment paradise
renewable-energy Mecca
high-tech playground."

Kilts

4. Scotland should avoid "the time-honoured British model of an economy run by bankers, built on debt and managed to the timetable of the quarterly financial results."

  1. Re: Elliot Rodgers and Topanga Canyon [ from Topanga Canyon's wikipage ] -
Charles Manson had previously been living in Topanga, where he had briefly befriended both Neil Young and Dennis Wilson of The Beach Boys. Members of "Manson's family" began their campaign of murder on July 31, 1969 with the murder of Topanga resident Gary Hinman, a music teacher who had opened his home to anyone needing shelter.

'The Family' then killed in Laurel canyon , and now would be a good time to read Dave McGowan's ' Wierd Scenes Inside the Canyon' for a seemingly thorough research into the mix of military, satanism, pedophilia and the Music/Entertainment Industry.

  2. Do you really suppose this will be of benefit to ordinary Scots? Or the absentee landlords who threw the people off of the land, claiming ownership?

    1. Yes, this will benefit ordinary Scots.

Many English people are already escaping to Scotland.

In 1944 Logie Baird demonstrated to the BBC. Fully electronic Colour TV with super high definition and 3D options. 70 years later no affordable equivalent TV exists. If the technology had been allowed to progress in the same way computer technology has progressed we would now be living in a different world.

  4. What's your take on the SNP policy of a "State appointed" personal "guardian" for every schoolchild in Scotland. Is that the type of intervention in family life that should be exported globally ?

Are these children imaged, perchance, using up educational time by painting signs for the visit of William and Kate this week. My wee boy is speding his time creating Commonwealth games "posters" for next week's assembly. Curious thing is, his education seems to be lacking in terms of the military/colonisation aspect of the Commonwealth.

    1. I see lots of little kids in the UK who look sick and miserable - their parents are often drunken and violent.

There are loads of little kids, like Baby P, who would benefit from having a mentor.

The media is against the idea; so I am in favour.

    2. My understanding, from previous "correspondence" with a similarly minded gentleman as yourself, is that only 10% of the child-population will ever be at any "risk".

Utilising Baby P as an example is, let's say it, typical of the media.

The media are against the UKIP, yet you are not in favour of them.

    3. "We are familiar with the idea that state employees are expected to take an interest in a child’s welfare, from health visitors to teachers at school. But this proposal that local authorities should be empowered to appoint an official to act as a personal “guardian”, or social worker, to oversee every aspect of a child’s life from birth onwards is a world first."

Sometimes I like the media, then again, I have a child, and I reside in Scotland.
