LUNCH WITH MICHELE OBAMA

'Kidnapped girls' was what Michelle Obama wanted to talk about when we met recently at a restaurant in Washington.

We ordered starters of burrata, kales, hazelnut, apple and tamarind, to be followed by roasted seabream, spinach, with mussel and saffron velouté

This was to be washed down with  a bottle of Bonneau du Martray, Grand Cru, Corton-Charlemagne, 2008 and a bottle of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou, Saint-Julien, Bordeaux, 1989

"Boko Haram supports al Qaeda," said Michelle, "Al Qaeda is the enemy, except of course in Syria."

I asked Michele why she did not speak out about boys hacked to death.

"You mean the young Afghan civilians randomly murdered and mutilated by American soldiers?" she asked.

I explained that I meant the boys murdered by Boko Haram in September 2013.

"Back in September, I was busy thinking about 9 11," explained Michelle. "And I was thinking about the almost one million children who go missing each year in the USA."

A younger Michelle.

"Black boys have a difficult life," I pointed out.

"Well", said Michelle, "About a third of Black boys will end up in prison at some time in their lives. And more and more of them are dropping out of school."

"In Nigeria," I asked.

"No, here in the United States," she said.

I took Michelle back to the subject of kidnapped girls in Nigeria.

Michelle related that every cloud has a silver lining.

"The kidnapping", said Michelle, "gives us a wonderful opportunity to plant more troops in Africa's largest economy - oil rich Nigeria. Soon we will have military bases throughout Africa."

The US military already operates out of Kenya, Gabon, Mali, Morocco, Tunisia, Namibia, Senegal, Uganda, Ethiopia and Zambia.

I asked Michelle what she thinks about the fact that, in 2012, The Nigerian Tribune reported that Boko Haram’s funding had been traced to the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia.

"Strange things happen," said Michelle. "Remember the reports that the CIA funded madrassas in Pakistan?"

As our Raspberry vacherin arrived, I found myself looking at Michelle Obama's beautiful hands and neck.

I read out a quote about Boko Haram.

"How did a ragtag collection of largely half literate unsophisticated persons, operating mostly in Okada, transform overnight to being able to design, manufacture and deploy bombs in buildings and in vehicles and carry out attacks in several locations around the country?

"How has their reach grown from just a corner of Nigeria to virtually everywhere in the country?

"For them to be able to mount such a sophisticated operation, they must necessarily have a well structured command and control system which in spite of their best efforts at concealment cannot remain undetected for long.

"So how have they seemingly defied the best efforts of combined security agencies in the country in detecting and foiling their activities?"

Michelle responded: "Some powerful security services must be aiding Boko Haram.

"We can expect these security services to mount a big campaign in the media."

The above of course is fiction.

There are a lot of discrepancies I'm having trouble making sense of.

According to the following article, 100+ girls were kidnapped last month, of which all but 8 are now accounted for.

    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/world/islamists-free-kidnapped-nigerian-schoolgirls/story-e6frg6so-1226887579471

Though NY Times claims "President Goodluck Jonathan... has so far been unable to rescue any of the teenage girls"
    http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/06/world/africa/nigeria-kidnapped-girls.html

The most recent kidnapping is said to have only involved 11 girls.

    http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/07/world/africa/outrage-grows-over-kidnapping-of-nigerian-schoolgirls.html?_r=0

Of course, just because the president has "failed to rescue" the girls doesn't mean they haven't been freed. The media's use of language is funny that way.

And it would not be the first time old or irrelevant news was served under the pretense of being new news.

Is Boko Haram An “Intelligence Asset”? Terror Attack in Nigeria Opens Door to Africom
    ...
In 2012, The Nigerian Tribune reported Boko Harm’s funding was traced to the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia, specifically from the Al-Muntada Trust Fund. In 2005, The Center for Security Policystated “Al-Muntada has, incidentally, been particularly active in promoting Wahhabi-style Islamism in Nigeria… Al-Muntada… pays for Nigerian clerics to be ‘brainwashed’ in Saudi universities and imposed on Nigerian Muslims through its well-funded network of mosques and schools.”
    ...
In addition to support by the Saudis, Boko Haram has received indirect assistance from NATO via Libya’s al-Qaeda mercenaries.

“During an interview conducted by Al-Jazeera with Abu Mousab Abdel Wadoud, the AQIM leader states that Algeria-based organizations have provided arms to Nigeria’s Boko Haram movement ‘to defend Muslims in Nigeria and stop the advance of a minority of Crusaders.’ It remains highly documented that members of Al-Qaeda (AQIM) and the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) who fought among the Libyan rebels directly received arms and logistical support from NATO bloc countries during the Libyan conflict in 2011,” writes Nile Bowie.

AQIM and Boko Haram, however, pose less of a threat in Africa than China does. “The US and France plan to counter the threat along with Africa’s puppet government’s that will pose a challenge to China’s economic and diplomatic influence in the region,” writes Timothy Alexander Guzman.

Nigeria is the 13th largest oil producer in the world. The western Africa nation’s other natural resources include natural gas, tin, iron ore, coal, limestone, niobium, lead, zinc and arable land.

“The US and French governments want to assure themselves that the new Chinese leadership will not continue its beneficial relationships with resource-rich African nations that have been a success in the past. Therefore, the ‘War on Terror’ will create instability and will disrupt China’s economic growth. AFRICOM mission is to create war in the name of fighting terrorism and that is what ‘US national security interests’ in Africa is really about.”

Truth would no doubt have been more bizarre.

  6. Hullo Aang,

You know a thought occurred to me. Convinced as I am that Obama is an MK subject I wondered how Michelle would function under that. I view it as highly unlikely that she'd be a cleanskin, ie. has no connection to MK at all and is unaware of her husband's condition. I'd say she'd be one of two things: an MK subject like her husband; or... his handler. What do you think? I could go either way on it.

Otherwise, no dessert wine to accompany the raspberry vacherin? I figure if you're going to splurge there's no point being half-arsed about it. "Michelle, what do you say to a half bottle of Chateau d'Yquem? Yes? Lovely".

    best etc. etc.

    1. I have read that valerie plame is his handler

    2. What?! Valerie Plame? I didn't see that coming. I'd have thought she'd have been a bit too high profile to be constantly mingling with the president, no? Still... good casting, ie. she looks the part. You know what I mean? Wait a minute! I just had a thought!

Did anyone see that Joss Whedon series Dollhouse? I reckon it's worth watching: it might just be the spookiest depiction of MPD/DID multiple personality agents ever, Nikita and all those knockoffs included. And sure it was all fairy-flossed-up with art direction and silly plot lines but that aside it was spookily accurate. Anyway... one story featured an MK'ed congressman whose handler was his wife. And... she looked like Valerie Plame! Hmm... I wonder if that was deliberate?

I just checked the timing, and it's spot on. Both Obama and Dollhouse inaugurated, as it were, in 2009. The other interesting thing is that one of the stars of the show was Harry Lennix who was, according to Alex Jones, the guy who gave Barack Obama his presidential gravitas. Fine! That's enough for me. We'll declare it a dead certainty.

Oh, and Aang, that was a bit spooky: I read the article and the word 'sauternes' popped into my head. Doubtless a case of ESP ~ farseeing.

Wow. We're in rare form today - two mysteries proven true in a single comment page.

      Bravo us etc. etc.
