THE BRITISH MILITARY - SEX AND MASSACRES

The British military quelled an 1857 rebellion in India by massacring lots of people.

"Some were tied to the mouths of cannons and blasted to pieces in front of their fellow soldiers

"Thousands more were strung up on makeshift gallows.

"While they were dangling from the gibbet, still alive, they were used for bayonet practice."

The British quelled an 1857 rebellion by massacring people

"In War of Civilisations: India AD 1857, Amaresh Misra, a writer and historian based in Mumbai, argues that there was an "untold holocaust" which caused the deaths of almost 10 million people over 10 years beginning in 1857."

What was the British military like in Worlde War II?

Fighting the People's War: The British and Commonwealth Armies and the Second World War by Jonathan Fennell, Cambridge University Press (January 24, 2019)

"In the UK, many soldiers had already heard the stories of betrayal and disappointment from their own fathers, who had returned from World War I only to find their government failing on the promise to support them, their widows, and orphans.

"They'd grown up with the misery of the global economic Depression.

"After the poor treatment of its WWI veterans and survivors, there was widespread mistrust of the state...

"Generals were so worried about dropping morale and the threat of both insubordination and desertion, that they requested the return of the death penalty for deserters."

The UK military is just as bad as the US, Nazi or Israeli military.

The Shot At Dawn Memorial at the National Arboretum in Staffordshire commemorates the young British soldiers shot by their own officers.

On October 29th, 1916 the Illustrated Sunday Herald had an article on punishment in the British army.

The article was about Field Punishment Number 1, commonly known as 'crucifixion'.

The article was written by Robert Blatchford who quoted a letter that he had received describing the punishment given to a soldier who had lost his gas helmet in a marsh.

The young soldier was tied by the neck, waist, hands and feet in a crucifiction position.

The soldier died.

Field Punishment Number 1 required the offender to be tied up in the crucifiction position for two hours a day for three consecutive days out of four for a period totalling up to 21 days.

During World War One, over 3,000 young British soldiers were sentenced to death by military courts.

"The last time we went down for a rest I had as many as 31 men tied to the wheel (the crucifiction punishment) at the same time...

Harry Farr

During World War I, Britain executed many its own soldiers, some as young as 14 years of age.

From an article by Harvey Thompson at WSWS 16 November 1999:

A typical case is that of Harry Farr, who joined the British Expeditionary Force in 1914 and fought in the trenches.

His position was repeatedly shelled, and in May 1915 he collapsed with strong convulsions.

In hospital, his wife Gertrude - who was denied a widow's pension after the war - recalled, "he shook all the time.

"He couldn't stand the noise of the guns.

"We got a letter from him, but it was in a stranger's handwriting. He could write perfectly well, but couldn't hold the pen because his hand was shaking."

It is now thought that Farr was possibly suffering from hypacusis, which occurs when the eardrums are so damaged that the auditory nerve becomes exposed, making loud noises physically unbearable.

Despite this, Farr was sent back to the front and fought at the Somme.

After several months of fighting, he requested to see a medical orderly but was refused.

In Farr's Court Martial papers, the Sergeant Major is quoted as saying "If you don't go up to the f*****g front, I'm going to f*****g blow your brains out" to which Farr simply replied "I just can't go on."

The Court Martial was over in 20 minutes. Harry Farr had to defend himself.

General Haig signed his death warrant and he was shot at dawn on October 16, 1916.

Some of the British still cling to the idea that the UK military are somehow different from the Nazis?

(Daily Mail: rumours swell that the government staged 7/7.)

On 1 January 2010, The Independent (UK) revealed how the UK military had a Secret Army squad which 'abused Iraqis'

Iraqis have reported being tortured after being sent to the Joint Forward Intelligence Team (JFIT) based at the Army's Shaibah Logistics Base, 13 miles from Basra, between 2004 and 2007.

Victim of a British concentration camp during the Boer War

The British military are accused of having photos of a man sexually abusing a child.

In one account the interrogators made an image which had a suspect's head superimposed on the body of the man who is sexually abusing the child.

"The photographs were of Western faces and the people looked to be around 15 to 16 years old."

Reportedly the military threatening to spread the image throughout Basra.

One detainee says that interrogators threatened to rape his wife and kill his children.

Detainees' witness statements appear to corroborate each other by referring to named soldiers responsible for their torture.

Iraqi lawyers claim that the interrogators were a mix of soldiers, MI5 and civilian staff and that they took their orders directly from London.

Case study: 'A soldier hit me again and again with a hammer for at least three minutes'

"He hit me again and again with the hammer for at least three minutes on different parts of my body, but mainly concentrating on my stomach... I vomited later when I was in the tank and there was blood in the vomit."

Mr Shihab, a policeman, said the chief interrogator was dressed in civilian clothes.

Mr Shihab alleges the interrogators superimposed his head on the photograph of a man sexually abusing a child.

Tom lived in a rough part of Glasgow, but, he was a decent kid and kept clear of drugs, drunkeness and violence.

Then he joined the military and changed for the worse.

Last time I saw him, he and his army mate were drunk and had driven all the passengers out of the train compartment they occupied.

Drunken sailors on rampage

- A teenage girl was hospitalised with concussion after being knocked to the ground by a Navy officer during a drunken scuffle

- A local restaurateur who intervened when two drunken submariners terrorised staff after being refused alcohol was charged with assault but was subsequently found not guilty

- Sailors and Royal Marines from Faslane were handed a three-month ban from licensed premises in Balloch after a series of shocking incidents

- A marauding group of sailors started a bar fight, smashed a glass over the head of one of their party then attacked club staff as they tried to force entry to under-18s disco

- A Royal Marine from Faslane naval base jumped over the bar in a Helensburgh pub and began guzzling beer from a tap then sprayed the soft drink dispenser around the bar

- A group of Faslane personnel were involved in a pitched brawl on a main street after being thrown out of a local pub for causing a fight.

Glenn Harrison, a former housemaster at the boarding school, first raised the alarm about QVS in 1991.

The police told him that the school was covered by the Official Secrets Act and therefore out of their jurisdiction.

Harrison referred to the ‘Friends of QVS’, which included top people who would often take boys away for the weekend, with the pupils returning "distressed but flush with cash".

Harrison said: "They had to take their kilts and clean underwear and I was not given a contact address. What may have gone on at these parties was secret but some boys were very disturbed.

"I became disturbed, too, by screams in the dorm at night, empty beds, rituals in dark places and used, warm, filled condoms hurriedly abandoned. There was fear throughout every age group and the teachers knew about it."

Harrison and his wife refused to sit next to Prince Andrew at a school dinner "in protest at the many unheard voices and suffering of young boys".

The police responded to Harrison's whistleblowing.

They broke down the door to his flat and removed many of his personal papers.

He was escorted from the school premises and interviewed by detectives.

Harrison moved to Shetland.

The UK parliament's Hansard recorded a written response from QVS headmaster Julian Hankinson to say that police had "concluded there was no cause for further action on their part".

In November 1996, Harrison wrote to The Shetland Times to say: "I believe that, had my allegations in 1991 been properly investigated, there is a strong possibility that Hamilton would have been discovered."

Lt Cdr Allan Waters, 57, worked with the Sea Cadet Corps in Britain for more than 30 years

In 2006, in India, Waters was jailed for child sex abuse.

Boys had been stripped naked and regularly caned.

"Information received by The Daily Telegraph ( Call for Sea Cadet inquiry after sex abuse case - Telegraph) said that Waters was caught in a compromising act with a young cadet while he was commanding the Clapton unit of the Sea Cadets in London in the early 1980s.

Reportedly, Waters was reassigned to another unit, and continued to rise up the ranks of the organisation.

Waters was appointed superintendent of the Sea Cadet training centre in Portsmouth in 1996.

Waters was a member of the Sea Cadet Council, the highest body of the corps.
The Sea Cadets confirmed that it was aware "that a report was made by a Sea Cadet officer who had concerns about Waters" in the early 1980s but said that allegations had "not been substantiated".

'The gang-bang... was recorded by jeering, drunken squaddies on mobile phone cameras'.

The Daily Mail reports on the UK soldiers 'roasting' the 15-year-old girl

Reportedly, the mobile phone video footage was made at Bourlon Barracks in North Yorkshire and 'has brought shame on the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment'.

According to one soldier: "They pushed two campbeds together to have sex with her and then gathered around.

"Many of them were filming it and were pumped up on booze."

A North Yorkshire police spokeswoman 'confirmed officers have seen the footage and had traced and interviewed the girl involved'.

The spokeswoman added that no arrests had been made.

In Cyprus, in 1994, three British soldiers kidnapped, raped and murdered a girl called Louise Jensen.

Louise was repeatedly raped and then beaten to death with a shovel.

On 27 March 1996, the three soldiers were convicted of abduction, rape and manslaughter and sentenced to life imprisonment.

They were released in August 2006 after spending only a few years in custody.

On 3 February 2008, nine British troops serving in Cyprus were arrested and charged after allegedly smashing up a pub and attacking locals in the holiday resort of Ayia Napa.

Police said around 20 soldiers burst into the Bedrock pub in the southern coastal town and starting wrecking it.

He was attached to the Queen's Lancashire Regiment which ran the detention centre in which Iraqi hotel worker Baha Mousa was held before dying from the 93 injuries he sustained.

The British military have a growing reputation for behaving like Nazis.

According to some historians, Britain bears “significant responsibility” since 1945 for the direct or indirect deaths of 8.6 million to 13.5 million people throughout the world from military interventions and at the hands of regimes strongly supported by Britain.

Prior to World War II, elements of the British military were fans of Hitler.

According to Admiral Sir Barry Domville, a pre-war head of UK Naval Intelligence, Hitler was "absolutely terrific."

Wing Commander Frederick Winterbottom, a pre-war head of MI6's air section, reportedly hoped Britain and Germany would unite against Stalin's Russia.

Photo: British concentration camp.

Giles MacDonogh has written After the Reich: The Brutal History of the Allied Occupation.

According to MacDonogh's evidence, at the end of World War II, the British military and its allies went in for rape, torture and murder.

Ian Cobain, in The Guardian 17 December 2005 wrote about the secret torture centres set up by the British military after World War II .

One of the British torture centres was at Bad Nenndorf, near Hanover.

372 men and 44 women passed through the Bad Nenndorf torture centre during the 22 months it operated before its closure in July 1947.

A Scotland Yard detective, Inspector Tom Hayward, investigated Bad Nenndorf.

He describes how prisoners were systematically beaten and exposed to extreme cold; some were starved to death and, allegedly, tortured with instruments that his fellow countrymen had recovered from a Gestapo prison in Hamburg.

Many of the prisoners were simply German leftists.

Others were Germans living in the Russian zone who had crossed the line, offered to spy on the Russians, and were tortured to establish whether they were genuine defectors.

Published in The Guardian: archive pictures of German prisoners held by the British following the second world war. Photographs: Martin Argles. The postwar photographs that British authorities tried to keep ...

One of the men who was starved to death, Walter Bergmann, had offered to spy for the British, and fell under suspicion because he spoke Russian.

Another man who starved to death, Franz Osterreicher, had been arrested while attempting to enter the British zone in search of his gay lover.

Ingrid Groth, then a seven-year-old, said locals claimed that if you crept up to the barbed wire at night, you could hear the prisoners' screams.

The commanding officer was Robin "Tin Eye" Stephens of MI5.

The inmates were starved, woken during the night, and forced to walk up and down their cells from early morning until late at night. When moving about the prison they were expected to run, while soldiers kicked them.

Prisoners could be stripped and repeatedly doused in water. This punishment could continue for weeks, even in sub-zero temperatures.

Naked prisoners were handcuffed back-to-back and forced to stand before open windows in midwinter. Frostbite became common.

One victim of the cold cell punishment was Buttlar...an anti-Nazi, he had spent two years as a prisoner of the Gestapo.

"I never in all those two years had undergone such treatments," he said.

Reportedly, the British military also got into bed with the Nazis.

After the war, "British authorities called off the hunt for the man who organised the Nazi Holocaust just 17 months after the end of World War II, files have revealed. The files relating to Adolf Eichmann were released by The National Archives. They show that at the time the decision was made, Eichmann was hiding in the British-controlled zone of Germany. He went to Argentina in 1950."

Horst Kopkow, one of Hitler’s top spies, who ordered the murders of more than 100 British secret agents in concentration camps, was spared execution as a war criminal and went to work for MI6. Evidence emerged in the 1980s that Britain had become a refuge for suspected war criminals.

Historian Mark Curtis has written: 1. 'Unpeople: Britain’s Secret Human Rights Abuses' (2004) 2. 'Web of Deceit: Britain’s Real Role in the World' (2003) Published by Vintage.

Paul Cochrane, at Worldpress.org , 6 January 2005, (Unpeople, Dirty Wars and a Web of Deceit – Britain’s Foreign ...) reviewed Curtis's books.

He wrote:

According to new research, Britain bears “significant responsibility” since 1945 for the direct or indirect deaths of 8.6 million to 13.5 million people throughout the world from military interventions and at the hands of regimes strongly supported by Britain.

Curtis said he came up with the term “Unpeople” because he thought it adequately described the British government’s attitude towards people who are expendable in Britain’s pursuit of economic and political goals.

“Last year,” Curtis said in a phone interview, “there was a British army officer who was quoted in Iraq as saying the Americans view the Iraqis only as Untermenschen, the Nazi concept of subhuman. In a way, the British have no real different regard for Iraqis than Americans."

Mark Curtis says that in 1971 an official British investigation found that the British army's torture techniques "played an important part in counter-insurgency operations in Palestine, Malaya, Kenya, Cyprus and the British Cameroons (1960-1), Brunei (1963), British Guiana (1964), Aden (1964-7), Borneo/Malaysia (1965-6), the Persian Gulf (1970-1) and in Northern Ireland (1971)".

In KENYA, the British used beatings, sexual humiliation, hooding, sleep deprivation, and bombarding with white noise.

32 Whites were killed by the Mau Mau during the five-year state of emergency. More whites died in traffic accidents in the capital city, Nairobi.

Kenyans were forced into concentration camps and routinely tortured. Some 150,000 Africans died as a direct result of the British policy.

There was a "constant stream of reports of brutalities by police, military and home guards", wrote Canon Bewes, a British missionary. "Some of the people had been using castration instruments and two men had died under castration."

Other brutalities included slicing off ears, boring holes in eardrums, flogging people to death, pouring paraffin over suspects and setting them alight and burning eardrums with cigarettes.

A British district officer admitted, "There was outright abuse of power and some of the crimes committed were horrific. One day six Mau Mau suspects were brought into a police station in the neighbouring district to mine. The British police inspector in charge lined them up against a wall and shot them."

A mobile gallows travelled the country. Over 1,000 were hanged, their bodies displayed at crossroads and market places.

MALAYSIA

The British used terror in Malaya.

This involved aerial bombing, massacres of villagers, dictatorial police measures and the "resettlement" of hundreds of thousands of people.

CYPRUS

During the state of emergency, from 1952 to 1957, the British army used torture.

Cypriot Nicos Koshies:

"They took me to the Special Branch and they started beating me. They took off all my clothes, they tied my hands and feet. They asked somebody to come in. He was taking a stick to put up my bottom, he was putting cloths in water and putting them on my face so I could not breathe, he threw me down and danced on my stomach when he was wearing boots. After 12 days I could not recognise myself."

James Callaghan in the House of Commons:

"On 29 June 1957 an inquest was held into the death of Nicos Georghiou. Dr Clearkin said in evidence that bruises in the head were sufficiently severe to have caused the injuries to the brain, perhaps bumping the head against a hard object."

IRAN

In 1953 a coup organised by the British and the USA overthrew Mossadeq and gave power to the Shah.

British SAS forces trained the Shah's Savak secret police.

SAS officers helped train the Iranian army in special operations against the Kurds.

The Shah's regime used torture until it was overthrown in 1979.

ADEN/SOUTH YEMEN

In Aden, later known as South Yemen, SAS squads used terror against local villages.

An official investigation found that from 1964 to 1967 detainees at a British interrogation centre were routinely tortured. Their eardrums were burst.

Others were forced to lean against walls with their fingertips for day and subjected to white noise for hours.

BAHRAIN

Former detainees in Bahrain have described being beaten, electrocuted, whipped, tied in excruciating positions for days on end, kept awake, starved and having their toenails torn out.

NORTHERN IRELAND

The Compton official inquiry acknowledged that the army hooded suspects, fed them on just bread and water and blasted them with noise.

An Amnesty International report said, "It is because we regard the deliberate destruction of a man's ability to control his own mind with revulsion that we reserve a special place in our catalogue of moral crimes for techniques of thought control and brainwashing. Any interrogation procedure which has the purpose or effect of causing a malfunction or breakdown of a man's mental processes constitutes as grave an assault on the inherent dignity of the human person as more traditional techniques of physical torture."

A European human rights report found that British army techniques amounted to "inhuman and degrading treatment" causing "at least intense physical and mental suffering".

Sad stories here

There have been some moving films on the subject of military court-martialled for desertion or similar

Particularly the 1964 UK film 'King and Country', set in World War I, with Dirk Bogarde, Tom Courtenay, and Leo McKern - here is the 2 minute trailer

Seems the degree of awfulness in military life and conduct, correlates with the degree that military is involved in empire, conquest, and foreign intrusion

In his 1935 exposé 'War is a Racket' by US Marine Major General Smedley Butler, he said he had come to view defence of borders and home population, as the only legitimate military activity

Apparently the files relating to the Etaples mutiny France(mainly involving Australian,New Zealand and Scottish troops).....have conveniently been disposed of.....They were SUPPOSED to have been released in 2017 after being held under lock and key for 100 years.

If ANY country resembles Orwells 1984 it is BRITAIN....with mass CCTV surveillance and an all seeing secret police and the infestation of the judicial system by Freemasonry.
If any country needs a revolution it is BRITAIN to clear out all the dead wood at the top.Trouble is revolutions tend to get out of hand.
Let's face the Monarchy is an anachronism in the 21st Century but they won't relinquish their power without a fight....it also doesn't help having the controlled press constantly promoting them with baby photos....interrupted occasionally by things like the Prince Phillip car crash....of course he was prosecuted like any normal citizen.....NOT.
